You're all crazy. Bush's presence alone on the field had defenses making adjustments which gave others on the team more big play chances. Leon was a nice surprise, but he had nowhere near the season that Bush did and probably won't be nearly as good down the road.
I think that about sums it up. Reggie and Leon really are two different backs. That being said I still think that Leon is right up their with Bush, but if it came down to choosing one regardelss of draft position, etc., I would still take Bush simply because I feel that he is the better player...but then again that's just my opinion. No doubt that Leon was a way better value in the 4th round opposed to Bush with the #2 overall pick. Leon was a sleeper to say the least. As I stated in my previous post I still think that Leon is more shifty and possibly quicker than Bush. However, to me Bush seems like the stronger more complete back. In the end they are both athletic freaks and the main difference between the two is that Reggie was practically on a future NFL team at USC while Leon was playing with offensively deficient squad to say the least at FSU. I still think that Bush's potential is marginally higher though. If Bush does fill out to his potential he could be a FHOF. Though both have high cielings, but Bush's is about as high as they come.
I watch a lot of Saints football. Bush is a better player than Washington. Bush is the best pass catching RB in the league. He is not a good blocker, but is better than Washington, who is a putrid blocker. Bush is a home run threat every time he touches the ball. He has amazing vision and is deadly in the open field. Washington is also good in those categories, but is not quite on the same level. He's close, though. Bush did run okay between the tackles at times last year, particularly in the Giants game. I still contend that Bush played last season nicked up. I think his best is yet to come. Maybe Leon Washington could get stronger and tougher and have a James Brooks type of career. That would be great. Bush, on the other hand, could have a Hall of Fame career.
Reggie Bush is a freak of nature. Assuming no injuries or freak accidents, there's no reason he won't go down as an all-time great. Leon Washington is a good player. I don't understand why some fans need to develop warped negative views of other players to feel good about their own. That applies to fans of every team in the league.
I see it popping up after his first two catch game. It will be right after the Revis is better than Champ Bailey and Harris is better than Ray Lewis Threads.
you are certainly entitled to your opinion, as am i! i think you see what you want to see. your imagination definitely gets a bit carried away, as this post will attest. i would like to see you post this laugher of a post on a national forum and see your name put on it. you would be the laughing stock of the month award winner.
I would modify it to say that last year Reggie Bush was an great player in an average system, supported by good talent in the NFC (not as difficult). Last year, Leon Washington was a good player playing in great system, supported by average talent playing against in the AFC.
