the clocked stops on a change of possession, that is why they had to run another play. Is your football knowledge that bad? you other guys are right 2.1 rushing average, 140 yards given up rushing, no pass rush. We played a great game, they killed us for 52 of the 60 minutes of the game
2nd-10, NYJ45 0:15 T. Bruschi intercepted C. Pennington for 8 yards 15 seconds is plenty of time to get out of bounds.... The pass was thrown to the sidelines... But don't let little things like facts get in the way...
The point being, if there was time left over for NE to have to run off, there was time for Smith to take one step to the sideline and stop the clock if he catches the ball.
if the pats tackle smith after he catches it the clock keeps running and the game ends. there is no chance that he gets out of bounds after he catches that ball.
it was more that one step and you don't think the pats are going to make sure he doesn't get to the sidelines. there would be at least one guy between the sidelines and Brad Smith
Look for youself, man. It's all speculation anyway, that's what a Hail Mary is. Any number of things could happen there.
Here is the video http://media.putfile.com/Game-Highlights---Jets-Vs-Patriots-91706 FF to 8:35 The play starts with 15 seconds...The pass is thrown to the right sideline, and intercepted with 10 seconds left...RIGHT NEXT TO THE SIDELINE...With no defenders on the sideline(Smith was on the inside)...So he could have gotten OB with 5-9 seconds left.
No, you are incapable of going into detail about anything specific on the field because you don't watch losses. Remember?
Sure I have been saying now for awile that MAYBE 2010 we will be SB lumber but now after the way our lines were dismantled I would say I am baginning to rethink & move farther away to say 2012 or even later. If you have not seen Bflo D lime yet just wait everybody that is now lo balling them will be very, very big suprise
Bottom line. In our position we were done. It actually probably is better to leave your starter in during that situation in that there is a very marginal element of surprize. There is no secret that we are going to throw it long in that situation. Were you hoping for "man to man" coverage?
I'm still waiting for you to explain specifically to me what is going to take that long to accomplish as far as building the team. You keep saying it, you've yet to explain what you mean by it, so why keep saying it? Now it's 2012? How many guys from any team do you think will still be where they are by 2012? Be real, man. Explain yourself.
