You continue to amaze me. Not in that truly amazing type of way, mind you. This is one of the worst posts, word for word, I have ever read on this board. Every single word. _
Come on guys leave the kid alone. Tebow would still be in the NFL as a backup or specialty player if not for his moronic fan base. No GM or coach wants the circus in town and that is what Tebow is a circus.
He really wouldn't be. You have to be able to play QB at some level in order to stay on an NFL roster as a backup and Tebow doesn't meet that test. The run he had with the Broncos was all about tight games and Tebow being able to run out of what was in essence a single-wing with one WR spread. NFL defenses would have adapted to that with no problem at all and that's why Elway gave up on him. The long passes he got off were sweet but they were pure percentage plays, with the defense drawn up to stop the single wing and the lone split end getting behind the lone safety. If Tebow had started for the Broncos in 2012 the odds are really good that their season would have looked like the end of 2011 with a bunch of low scoring games and maybe one or two games where the offense clicked because the opponent disregarded the deep ball like the Steelers did in the playoffs. For all the conspiracy theorists who think Tebow is blackballed or some such the big question is why? There are at least a half dozen teams in the NFL right now who would greatly benefit from his presence if he could play the game and draw his fan base. The simple answer is that he can't play the game. If Tim Tebow could actually play QB in the NFL he'd be starting for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Think about it.
Has Tanny admitted that Woody's hiring him to be GM was a mistake, and that he (Tanny) is just an arrogant, publicity-seeking, clueless tool yet?
