I doubt they'll cut him, but I'll take him if they do. He's a good young RB IMO.

No, he?s still on the team, but it seems that they try to shop him. I read that the Cowboys are interrested.

Right. Ted Ginn for the win!

EDIT: And yes, of course I know that was pre-Fat Bill, but it's still funny as hell in my book.

The first big cutdown date is August 26. There's no reason for the Dolphins to cut Beck or Josh McCown until then or the final cutdown date (August 30, I think).

I would hope we wouldn't give the Patriots a chance. They already have at least one back that is better than anything we have.

As soon as I saw Chris Mortensen's name I stopped treating this like a serious discussion.

That's only if one thinks Quinn is going to be good.

    I have my doubts.

I'd rather have Chad Henne on my team than Quinn.

We'll find out who is the better pro QB down the road.

Unless some team gives Miami an offer that they can't refuse, Brown isn't going anywhere this year. He's still recovering from his injuries, but has made steady progress this off-season. He should be ready to go this season, but the coaches are taking it slow....

I'm not sure how many Jets fans have been keeping tabs on Ricky, but he's been looking extremely good this off-season. He's also recently been slated to be our opening day starter at RB. There's going to be a lot of frustrated DC's out there this year, and I certainly wouldn't want to be facing him twice a year with the way he's been looking....

He's also going to be running behind a much improved OL in 2008, and that's something he never really had while starting in Miami. Many of our areas of major concern on offense, have been repaired, so I wouldn't underestimate...

The Phinz offense may not be as flashy as others, but it's not being built that way either. Parcells / Sparano want a hard nosed OL that can own the trench wars / wear teams down with the running game. We'll see how it goes, but I'm confident in what they've done up front thus far. It's a young group that's for sure....

I read some things about Ricky looking great so far. But he?s old for a RB and the quick injury last year, may indicate, that he may not be durable anymore and that Defenders will take pride in crushing him. He still has to show that he runs as hard (or close to) as he did back then, wich is something that doesn?t show in preseason. Oh, and there?s still a chance that he is still a pothead and will get caught again.

    A lot if ???

And for the OL, the talent definitly increased, if those guys also have to prove a lot. LTs tend to struggle at the beginning.

rofl no way they do it. what if ricky williams goes down then what? besides wheres the business logic in cutting a top RB with coming off injury as opposed to counting on someone whos been kicked in an out of the league?

Nobody is getting cut. If anything happens with Brown, he will be traded...

Not only is Ricky not that old at 31, but his legs are fresh and he's stayed in great shape with the Yoga or whatever the hell it is he does. It's true that he's looked fantastic this offseason, but it's also true that you can't make too many predictions based off Camp and Preseason. Dude, you can youtube the video of last seasons injury, It leaves no reason to believe that the guy is injury prone. Freak shit happens, and that was definately a freak injury.

I expect Long to struggle early in pass protection, but thus far he's been a dominating run blocker. There are lots of Question marks going into the season. Can Nemo provide consistant QB play with our mediocre WR corps, will Brown rebound from the injury and re emerge as one of the best backs in the league? How is Ricky's conditioning, and has he returned to Form? Will Ginn develop into the playmaker he was drafted to be? Is Porter officially done? And those are just the begining.

This is a 5-11 Team, Any record better than that will exceed my expectations.

Nemo? That's possibly the gayest nick name of all time. Then again, dolphins are nothing but gay sharks.

Don?t forget that Ricky not only put mileage on his tires while not in the NFL, he also was Injuried during that time. And 31 is old if you?re a RB.

And please tell me, you guys don?t call one of my favorite players Nemo!!!
