Everyone that is ignoring the TD and saying that it doesn't matter because of how the Jets played needs to get a fucking grip. Rules are rules. The referee made an illegal call that erased a TD for the Jets. That just can't be happening.
I didn't see that post. And in general this is what you do. Geno threw some bad passes but that TD is not one of them.
Some of you people dont get it, saying shit like the refs didnt blow our 18 point lead....you dont get it. You build leads on the road to put yourself in position to win against good teams. The Jets did exactly that, we were in a position to tie the game regardless of what happenned. As far as Marty, Marty did NOTHING wrong, coordinators signal to their head coaches all the time to call timeouts. All the damn time, hell if Marty ran up to the refs face and told him he wanted a timeout, the ref cannot respond. The Jets got 100% screwed, the game should have been 31-31 with a couple minutes left on the road, in lambeau, against the Packers, against Aaron Rodgers. The end. No discussion, AT ALL.

Agreed. We actually tied the game on that play. I could understand if it was a first down or some bullshit and we are speculating a TD but they did score a TD and we got hosed. Fuck that.
too much concentration on the timeout play. sure by the book only the head coach can call it but half the jets staff was going balistic yelling timeouts and people other then head coach call and recieve timeouts all the time. in fact the year the pats went 16-0 in the regular season they were playing the ravens on monday night. pats wer elosing and it was 4th and 4 on the last play of the game. rex ryan(who was NOT head coach for the ravens) called and received a timeout in a similar situation where the play was run but rex called TO prior and was granted it. also, its all moot. dee milliner got abused, and calvin prior did a horrible job with his over the top assignment. this loss is on the secondary... if you want to blame the coaching, blame them for wasting timeouts and not being prepared. HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET A DELAY OF GAME ON A PUNT!? thats what ppl should be upset about, not the timeout that amrty clearly wanted
