Me? I LOVE THIS STUFF!!! I moved to New York City because the rest of the country hated us (back in the 1970s), and I have enjoyed watching all the yuppies flock here since then--because NEW YORK CITY is the greatest place on Earth!!! And I knew this all along. On the other hand, the Jets play their games in New Jersey. So all this NYC hatred is just a bit weird! I do admit that a NY Giants/NY Jets Super Bowl would be interesting, since Springsteen is the halftime entertainment. Really, this would be the biggest thing for the NFL in the Greater New York area. Other than that, I freaking HATE the Giants and hope they lose every game for the rest of this season!

Thats bullshit! why hate NY teams, we dont do shit, besides the Giants winning the SB(and before that it was 1990) and the Red Bulls going to the MLS cup, and not many people give a shit about soccer anyway, we havent done much, mets havent won shit since 1986, the rangers in 1994, islanders in 1983, jets in 1968!! Knicks in 1973!! yankees in 2000, the bills never won shit, the sabres never won shit, the goddamn arena football ny dragons never won a championship, so why the fuck would anyone hate new york aside from a douchey new englander???? everyone talks about ny teams like we are all dynasties when in fact we underachieve more then anyone, especially since we are a rich state with really rich sports teams
OK.....I'll say it again in hopes that this time you'll get it. NY buys a lot of its players. Many other teams don't. A classic example is the CC Sabathia sweepstakes. Milwaukee made a generous offer for him, and the Yankees blew that offer out of the water. That's the kind of crap that bothers a lot of people from other parts of the country. Like it or not, that's the way it is. And another thing......you make it sound like NY teams never win squat. Come on! Many peoples' favorite teams literally never win titles or have been in much longer droughts. I guess you wouldn't understand because you're not from a small midwestern town. Most people who are tend to root for underdogs or smaller market teams.
I'm from Mahopac NY it dont get any better then where your from, anyway I know some teams dont win anything, but my point was people hate new york teams like we are dynasties but we arent and the yankees buying players doesnt account for the rest of the new york sports teams, they wanna hate the yankees, fine, i love them, but its cool i would hate them too, but in all honesty they arent great now either, so all and all if i werent a yankee fan i wouldnt give a crap about them or give a crap about hating them. A team with money will buy good players, end of story, there is no farm system in football, so you need to buy better players and draft good prospects, if you want to succeed. People hated the yankees dynasty in the 90's but guess what, it was a home grown team, that became great, like the red sox, but everyone sucks their dick. I'm from a small town and I love the Jets the biggest underdogs with no respect, but i guess I don't understand.
Well I guess you'd have to be from the Midwest or somewhere else in the country then. I tend to root for the midwestern teams over east and west coast teams. Can't say that i feel any "hate" for most NY teams but I'll always root against the yankees. I do have tremendous respect for the significance of the franchise and especially for guys Joe Torre and Derek Jeter. Don't care for Arod though.
