There's definitely something in the water up there. Any state that continues to re-elect a drunken, womanizing state senator who should have been convicted of manslaughter charges for deliberately trying to conceal his direct involvement and causation in the drowning death of a young woman obviously has issues with clear reasoning and sound judgement. Now you can see why videotaping opponents before key games is "no big deal."
I have a DVD of the Jets-Raiders playoff game. I enjoyed the game back when it was played and enjoyed watching it again. I don't think I'm going to watch it again for a while though. It just hurts too much knowing what happened the following week.....That was Walt Michaels last shining moment with the team that he built from the ground up. He deserved better.....
If it so angers you that for a short time due to family matters I did not watch NYJ losses I would appreciate you advising everybody what I missed by not watching those losses. Please be specific giving us the redeeming factors of not watching those losses & just do not say something like well you should watch all the games or some general garbage like that that.
A true fan follows their team NO MATTER WHAT. They follow them through the highs, and through the lows, the wins and the losses. You sir, are no fan of this team. I don't care what excuses you're trying to claim now as to why you didn't watch them, because it's my opinion that you're just a lieing piece of garbage. I don't believe any of the BS that makes it to your keyboard.
I will not watch any more Jet games if Chad is the starter. I will "follow the team", as best I can, but I don't see where that means I have to make myself more sick than I already am at the concept of him shitting the bed more than he already has.
He certainly did. I finally got a chance to watch America's Game on the 1968 Jets last night, and I didn't realize he had such a big role on that coaching staff. I thought he was a position coach that didn't have much to do with anything, not the case.
The 1968 Jets defense is what carried the team through the season. It was a very tough and hard-hitting defense. It had Michaels written all over it. In fact, according to the Namath biography, after the Jets lost a couple of early season games, Michaels got very annoyed at Namath and even pulled aside a couple of the O-Lineman and asked them to talk to Namath about taking careless shots downfield. Apparantly, he threw some needless interceptions that put the defense in some precarious situations and cost the Jets a couple of games. By the middle of the season, the offense and the defense appeared to be on the same page and won the rest of their games, except for the Heidi Bowl.....
Namath said on the show that Michaels called him up to sit with him on the plane back from a game and he was fuming. Later in the season, instead of doing that again, he got the O-linemen involved. I really enjoyed Philbin in the show.
