Love him! The whole D line is just freaking great.

It is very reassuring to see the Jets generate pressure without the blitz. They still dial it up regularly, but not to have to rely on it to generate pressure is really fantastic. If D-mil can come around and develop into at a least a serviceable corner, this D will be downright nasty.

...Oh and cut down on TD drives by the opposing offense that are entirely a result of bonehead penalties.

If Ellis ever gets healthy it's going to be ridiculous

As much as I've hated drafting D-lineman after D-lineman after D-lineman high up in the draft, I have to admit this is one super unit.

Wilks will definitely have 10+ sacks this year and make the pro bowl. He was robbed last year. With Richardson and Harrison alongside him it does nothing but help with pressure. They can't double team all of them!

Concur, when we drafted him I was like WTF?!? Had no clue he was THIS good.

And a pretty good dude with a high motor it seems like.

the whole front seven is just fierce this season, and it was only coples first game back. from the looks of it early on, this defense is going to be fun to watch for a while

The whole Defense (aside from Kyle Wilson) has far exceeded my expectations this season. Amazing what a little infusion of youth will do. I'm sure they'll have their ups and downs but it looks like there is a solid core to build around.

When the defense takes on rex's bravodo, it's fun to watch.

We are currently the #4 ranked defense, with Oakland ahead of us at #3 having to play Denver in a few hours..

So we will be #3 after tonight..

I know this won't go over well here, but I'm kind of hoping Rex gets some of HIS bravado back.

The entire DL is full of beasts. Mo Wilk, Richardson, and Snacks are all monsters. I remember a lot of people on this board taking the bridge when Richardson was picked too. I loved the pick myself, although at the time would rather have had Warmack. But I digress. This defense has a real shot at finishing this season as the #1 D in the league.

And despite the picks, I am loving me some Geno. The kid is playing much better than I had anticipated. IMO, the biggest issue we have right now is coaching. The penalties and horrendous challenges yesterday were inexcusable. We did more damage to ourselves in that game than the Bills did.

I'm also liking Antonio Allen a lot. A steal in the 7th round.

I was actually thinking the same thing. Seems like the Defense has gotten a bit of their swag back!
