Unless it's in Canadian Fun-Money or he's really tired of being in Toronto.

True, but I don't see how any other team would legitly ante up that much money for him. But maybe I'm still thinking in terms of 2005 FA money and not 2006.

Tigers gM Dave Dombrowski told WXYT-AM on Wednesday the team had concluded Joel Zumaya's wrist/forearm troubles at the end of the season came from playing the Playstation 2 game "Guitar Hero," not anything pitching related.

    :rofl2: :shit: :rofl2:

18 million a year for Wells?!?! The Blue Jays aren't allowed to cry poverty anymore or say they're not able to compete with the Yanks and Red Sox after handing out a contract like this. The Yankees after they won a couple World Series are the only team I can remember paying significantly over market value to keep guys that were already on the team.

They got tired of Garcia. They were worried about his weight issues. He gets lazy in the offseason. His favorite offseason activity is floating on a raft in his pool in Venezuela. I heard this from a member of the White Sox front office in the lobby of the Dolphin last week before the trade was made.

It looked like the Royals might finally be on the right path when they hired Moore, but moves like this show you that he is awful, and the Royals will continue to be bad for years to come.

Dontrelle Willis Arrested on DUI Charge
    - By MICHELLE SPITZER, Associated Press Writer
    Friday, December 22, 2006

(12-22) 04:57 PST MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) --

Florida Marlins pitcher Dontrelle Willis was arrested early Friday on suspicion of drunken driving, police said.

An officer saw the star get out of his black Bentley around 4:30 a.m. and urinate in the street, police spokesman Bobby Hernandez said. The officer then approached him, noticed signs of intoxication and arrested him, Hernandez said.

Willis, 24, refused a breath test at a police station and was being transported to Miami-Dade County jail, Hernandez said.

Marlins spokesman P.J. Loyello declined comment. Willis' agent, Matt Sosnick, and jail officials did not return phone messages seeking comment.

Willis finished last season 12-12 with a 3.87 ERA in 223 1/3 innings. The year before, he led the major leagues with 22 wins. He was the National League rookie of the year in 2003, the same year the Marlins beat the New York Yankees in the World Series.

I'm so thankful he opted out of $11M/year from the Dodgers, it's the best thing he ever did for us.

It sucks that Eric Gagne signed with Texas, but who knows if he can even pitch or how? They're crazy to guarantee $6M. Hopefully he has a good year and then comes back home to LA. I'm going to miss "Welcome to The Jungle" in the 9th inning, that was one of the coolest things in sports.
