I like the Reynolds pick up for Baltimore, because they get a boost of power that they really needed. If he can reduce his SO this can be a great trade.

I agree with the poster who said the O's have to make moves like this.

Yeah I missed it, the Sox also resigned Konerko 3 years 37 million. The guy had a monster year last season. I wonder if it's going to continue?

    7 year- $142 million

This makes Boston's lineup pretty powerful. Ellsbury and Crawford (plus Youkilis and Adrian Gonzalez), throw in a healthy David Ortiz and Dustin Pedroia and you have a pretty impressive offense...

Biggest fear right now is the Angels making a big push for Lee forcing the Yanks to send prospects for Greinke.

    Definitely overpaid...

The rumor is the Yankees' offer to Cliff Lee is somewhere between the $161 million deal they gave Sabathia and the $137.5 million deal the Mets signed Johan Santana for in 2008.

Cliff Lee has said he will make his decision before the end of the weekend. ESPN will not be holding an hour television slot for his "decision".

I don't understand why you guys don't want Greinke.

He's somehow has a career ERA of something like 3.26 playing in Kansas City. Imagine what this guy could do with some run support - knowing that his team can actually score would definitely give him more confidence.

just before the signing, this article was put out there:

Torii Hunter is confident Angels can sign Carl Crawford
Outfielder has been in contact with the high-profile free agent, who is being courted by several clubs, and is hoping the Angels will land the former Tampa Bay star this week.

He's shied away from playing in New York in the past and he's had depression issues.

The price is too high. They want a lot in return.

Best offseason ever. They had to open the wallet after buying that soccer team or the fan base was going to turn on them.
