That was very poorly written and was so off the mark. I can understand if you move to a new city you might want to root for the home team but it sounded like this guy was able to switch allegiance to his team very easily. I guess that is what you're going to get in Wisconsin though

I'd think you could criticize his writing and arguments and personality and hypocrisy and faux-fandom without slamming Wisconsin. You know, the state Favre loves and is now full of tons of new Jets fans. I'm from Wisconsin, have lived in Manhattan, and some of these comments are a bit boorish and small-minded. Would you slam New York because an idiotic sportswriter (or a few dozen) live there? WI and NYC are both great places in my opinion!
All you need to know about this guys is this statement right here. "A long, long time ago I WAS a Jets fan." So he was a fan of the team when they were good. Then when they were bad he jumped ship. He has no credibility as fan.
I have a different take on this guy I never seen write an article before. He maybe a summer intern, the Journal Sentinal is a rag of poor quality. Many Packer fans, not all turned on Favre before the Jet trade, why just classless scumbags. Wisconsin has nice people, they just don't have a clue how to drive, but think they do. They tell folks to move on but don't let it go themselves. I'm from Wisconsin lived there 40 years, don't live there now by choice. I'm a Packer Fan since 1964 a Farve fan since 1992. I understand how you Jet fans feel. I'm here cause I'm a Favre fan. I was here when the Pack played the Jets in GB two seasons ago.
