Darrelle Revis now occupies my computer's desktop background. The Lord giveth some and taketh away more. Praise be.

Anyone keep track of how many catches, yards, and TDs he gives up and on who? I can't seem to find it anywhere...

I don't believe Revis has allowed a catch on him since week 1.

And that was just one catch by Dez, for 26 yards correct?

I'm pretty sure he allowed a useless 3 yard slant to Kevin Ogletree too.

Does this make the sentence redundant?

"Blessing & a curse RT @SI_PeterKing: RT @ProFootbalFocus: QBs throwing at Darrelle Revis through 4 games have a QB rating of 3.6 - He has allowed 3 receptions in 4 games. "

So, the Revis vs Welker matchup: 21 snaps in man-coverage > 1 catch, 4 yards. Apparently all you need to stop Welker is a Revis

The Eric Smith debacle aside, we did a good job on Welker.

Smith said that wasn't his fault, probably not smart to blame Revis...

Well let me bring some objectivity to this biased forum. Yes I am a huge Pats fan! Revis is obviously a solid CB. That being said it's obvious he is allowed to grab and hold receivers more than the average CB. Just like in basketball when Lebroon and others are allowed infractions based on their names, well Revis is given the same latitude. I know he's earned it, but it would be nice for the officials to show consistency irregardless of the players name. And don't start your speels about how Tom Terrific gets special treatment! You all would be jumping for joy if Mr. future Hall of Famer came over to the Jets! The Jets keep talking about overcoming 3 game skids in the past-but let me tell you my fellow football fanatics these aint the same Jets-no Jones, different personnel and the defense and offensive lines are not anywhere as dominant as in the past. Good luck the rest of the way. I'm sure the next game will be a dog fight! BTW fireman Ed is a tool!!!!!

I'm still amazed at the way he chased down Welker, explains alot on why he rarely gets beat,I know the Deion vs Revis debate is premature but Revis hands down is the best CB I have ever seen from the physical specimes of Megatron/A.Johnson/Jackson to the quick shifty deceptive players like Welker he covers them all...

If he continues this pace he will go down as the GOAT of CB's...

He is allowed to touch WR's more, but that is mainly due to him not actually holding the WR. He has his hands on WR's...Revis isn't disrupting the WR route though.

When you see other Corners get flagged on stuff that is similar to what Revis does, you arent looking at it correctly. Revis is not holding his target back, or slowing the WR down past the 5yards.

Big difference between having your hands on a WR, and grabbing the WR.

(I just reread what I typed, and it looks like shit. Too hung over for this bullshit) BTW Pats fans are gay, and faggot.

Looking forward to Revis taking Brandon Marshall out of the game. Marshall torched us in the first game without Revis.

Marshall had 166 yards in the 1st game without Revis.

Miami as a whole had 131 total yards in the 2nd game with Revis.

    Praise be.
