Well let me ask you this. It's a soaking wet day out there, WTF are we throwing the ball 44 times for? Miami only attempted 19 pass plays... Coincidence?
I don't know, maybe because nearly every time we tried to run the ball Miami dominated the line of scrimmage and stopped us for about nothing?

To be honest Miami had no business winning this game. They were beat in every statistical category. They had 131 total net yards in this game, the Jets had 280. The Jets controlled time of possession 33:48 to 26:12 . The reason we lost is because the offense handed them the ball in such great field position in the 1st quarter that we might as well have scored the TD and FG for them too. Then the offense couldn't get us a 7 either (again). But the defense did it's job here. It was a great game for the defense that was squandered by the offense.
Their punter played a hell of a game though. He completely changed the field position every change of possession.
Let's re-phrase that to say "The OFFENSE that had no business winning this game LOST". Because the defense did it's job out there today.
We can talk about Sanchez going 17 for 44, or the Holmes drop, or the Cotchery pass over the middle in the 4th q drop, but looking back, I'd say the Miami punter was the one who won the game for the Fish.
Hey even at the end of the game the defense came up with two really big stops to give the offense the ball back and they couldn't do a damned thing with it... How many opportunities does this offense want??? The defense is handing you the ball back and saying "Get us a win!" and they just fizzle and squander it... It was difficult to watch. This offense is playing horrible right now.
