This booth is a train wreck. Brantley just stammered on for half an inning about how Minaya knew Perez had talent because he saw him up close in San Diego. Perez only pitch a season and a half in San Diego and wasn't that great. Pretty sure that season in Pittsburgh with the sub-3.00 ERA and 200+ strikeouts made a bigger impression. Also, Minaya never worked for the Padres, or worked for a team in their division. Also, huh? The he said that the Mets traded Nady and Roberto Hernandez for Perez. Which they didn't. And then Brenneman gets the score wrong going into the break. Grand.
