Mets lose two out of three at home to the worst team in the NL. Mets are 12 1/2 games out of first, and have lost 10 games when scoring at least 6 runs, of course the worst in the majors. What a complete joke.

I don't even waste my time with this team anymore. I keep a tab on my phone during the game, but I'm not watching.

My God, Alonso is a complete idiot. He comes up with bases loaded and none out, where the starter can't throw a strike, and immediately swings at the first pitch, which is way out of the strike zone. Then, on a 2-2 count he barely taps the ball back to the pitcher, who gets a force out at home, and then Alonso is called out on the throw to first when he is far out of the basepath. Double play, no runs scoring.

Marte walks to load the bases, and then McNeil immediately pops out. Three walks, one HBP, no runs, no balls hit out of the infield.

    What a joke.

And Megill immediately gives up 2 runs in the bottom of the first. Mets outscored 54-21 in first innings this season. That's bad starting pitching, and bad hitting at the top of the order, but also bad preparation, and that's on the manager and coaching staff.

When you’re loud when a player does bad you gotta be loud when they do Good. So good for Vogelbach with his current play.

Vogelbach with a 1.433 OPS since returning from his sabbatical. I guess it worked.

11 losses this year when scoring 6 or more runs.

Good luck, EE, hopefully, these prospects work out for us. God knows we need pitching.

Considering Escobar's performance as a Met other than during his one ridiculous month last September (an OPS of .658), and Eppler's track record in general, it's hard for me to believe that the pitchers the Mets got will turn out to even be anything useful, let alone special.

If there were any takers, would you deal Lindor and bring up Ronny Mauricio?

Fit aside, I'd trade him for Stanton in a heart beat. Yankees can throw in some sweeteners too.

My God, this team is such a joke. Carrasco has a 4-2 lead and has thrown only 78 pitches, but Showalter pulls him after four innings anyway. Leone comes in. Immediately walks Turner. Turner then starts running to second while Leone still has the ball in his hand, but Leone doesn't even glance at him and he steals second. Turner then gets a gigantic lead off second, Leone again ignores him, so he steals third, Narvaez throws the ball wildly, Baty waves at it as it goes by, and Turner walks home. Incompetent managing, incompetent pitching, incompetent pitching defense, incompetent catching defense, incompetent infielder defense.

Unbelievable, the incompetence arises again. They have a 6-3 lead, bring in Walker, who immediately loads the bases on two walks and a single. They bring in Brigham, who gets an easy double play ball to Baty, who inexplicably double clutches and then throws it wildly. 6-4, still bases loaded and no outs. Showalter also does an idiotic challenge that he of course loses. Brigham then walks the next guy; 6-5, still bases loaded and no outs.

Meanwhile, Showalter refuses to actually use one of his (relatively) good relievers.

IMO this should be enough for him to be fired.

And now two consecutive HBPs!!! You can't make this shit up, and it is all Showalter's fault for refusing to use his bullpen like a normal manager.

And NOW Showalter actually makes an appearance to complain about Canha being called out on a checked swing, and gets thrown out of the game. Just keep walking, Buck.
