I was pessimistic about the pitching going into the season but this is even worse than I could have feared.

Yeah, the Joey Lucchesi Experience ended after one game. A sincere thank you to Dom Smith for bailing him out, but I don't see this ending anything but badly. And they've been outscored 36-9 in first innings.

Really is no surprise how bad this team is. I’m generally pretty optimistic going into seasons, to the point of delusional at most times, but it was pretty obvious the roster is lacking in so many areas that the team was going to take a huge step backwards. Will they make Showalter the scapegoat?
