deGrom put on the IL with right elbow inflammation. Maybe he'll be fine, but the things the Rangers' GM is saying sound eerily like things the Mets were saying for the past couple of years. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/36322258/rangers-ace-jacob-degrom-evaluated-tightness-wrist
We’ve lost 8 of the last 10. Haven’t been an Eppler fan but was thrilled with the Buck hire. I’ve seriously soured on him.
Swept by the Tigers and have lost 9 of the last 11. Mets have been shut out in six of their 32 games. That is tied for the most in baseball with the Royals.
Getting swept by a team that was 10-17 going in. Unbelievable, except that it's easy to believe with this team. Verlander was obviously a lot better than Scherzer has been, but losing 9 out of 11 is ridiculous.
Congrats to Harvey. Sucks we could not keep that pitching group together. I wish we would have had a more adept owner to spending then. What it could have been without injuries as well. This is gonna be a long year with this pitching currently
Feels like Harvey was the start of a different feeling around the Mets. It was a different level of excitement. He was a favorite of mine and it's sad how things turned out. I hope he has a good retirement and wins against his personal demons.
Warthen and Collins should have never said anything to him or they should have stuck their foot in the ground and gone to the pen. Insane they lost that WS. Had the lead in like 40+ of 48ish innings
