Am I the only person that can live with JD Davis @ 3rd? I'll take him there over Turner(at this stage), tbh. If there's a liability with his defense that his bat can't justify leaving him there then that's something we can address within the season. If a Suarez/bryant isn't attainable at this time they could very well be in play within the season.
For 1 year with his salary and let's be honest his arrow as been pointing down, I can see JD,+ another player that isn't Alvarez. I wouldn't put Peterson in a trade for Bryant unless Hendricks is coming with him.

27 years old, a consistently above average hitter, two-time Gold Glover, and three years from free agency, so he'd certainly be that.
I really hope we go with Nimmo in CF. I love that kid, he's just a fun player to root for. Plus, a whole ST in CF should help his D.
Little did we know that the Wilpon stench went much farther than just on the field. I didn't understand why Cohen hired Alderson, and I don't see how he keeps his job at this point. https://nypost.com/2021/02/17/ryan-...s-employees-accused-him-of-sexual-harassment/
Not quite the situation we've been seeing recently, but another member of the Mets organization has left it. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id...ts-outfielder-tim-tebow-retiring-pro-baseball
The Mets seem to have found their #5 starter. Lifetime 3.84 ERA, which is just fine for a #5 starter. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id...-deal-right-hander-taijuan-walker-source-says
Syndergaard and Bauer having a twitter exchange. https://twitter.com/BauerOutage/status/1362950693414313987?s=20
Like I said months ago, Bauer is clearly a major douche. Which doesn't change that Syndergaard could also take lessons from deGrom about not acting like an asshole. Amazing how these guys simply can't help ignoring the old adage that it is better to keep quiet and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
If Mark Twain had access to twitter he'd have violated his own cardinal rule at least twice a day. Seriously, there is something very wrong about the concept of social media and we need to figure it out before it burns the house down around us. It's not necessarily an evolutionary advantage for the human race to be able to project generally wrong notions on a wide range of topics to the socio-sphere at large. While the old paradigm of only expert opinion reaching the masses was stifling, the new order seems to be capable of causing much social damage in a very short period of time with few ways to mitigate the damage caused. Civilization is not going to last long if our paradigm for social interaction becomes masses of fools fighting on the burning decks of the fleet.
None of that Twitter stuff bothers me. Just trash talk. Hopefully these two square off later this year and we get the better of him.
Social media doesn’t scare me even though I don’t have any of it, it’s the people who eat up all this information like everything is fact that scares me.
For various reasons people are doing the equivalent of shouting fire in a crowded theatre over and over again on social media. Then the people who believe anything they are told as long as it lines in nicely with their preconceptions become a major problem. #QAnon is a terrorist in every sense of the word, right down to having people actually die directly as a result of the nonsense they spew on social media. In a sensible society #QAnon would be tracked down, tried and sentenced in a way that they never had access to any way to broadcast their terroristic content again.
