:shit: I don't care. The Mets got the first no hitter in their history, and I for am thrilled.
Did anyone notice the fan who ran onto the field, wearing the Carter jersey, who actually celebrated with the team for a bit, hugged by a few Mets players, before finally being wrestled to the ground by the ever-watchful security folks?
Yeah I seen it, I really dont blame him. If im at the Super Bowl when the Jets win it, im running on the field, I dont care ill take the fine. Chances are they dont even notice. Id run on the field for the Mets to.
well the personal bucket list just got got a fresh check mark....... now if only the jets could get ur done. congrats
Hey man why don't you do us all a favor and go fist yourself YOU CANT TAKE THIS AWAY FROM US!!!!! NO ONE CAN!!!!
I thought it would wind up being either a combined no-hitter or a no-hitter that got lost on an error or in extra innings lol. Thank god they finally got rid of that albatross. The haters can take the asterisk and shove it up you know what, this franchise has had so many Charlie-Brown like moments over the last five years, we deserve a moment like this.
I wonder how long he would have been allowed to celebrate if he was actually wearing a current player's jersey
Fucking typical...i miss this for my in laws birthday........ Sounds like Baxter made the play of the year....
My Mother was at the game but unfortunately left in the early innings as she wasn't feeling well. I'll have that ticket stub for my collection thank you very much... Might frame it up with the Mike Piazza 9/11 home run stub (yes, I was actually at that game). Great win for the Mets, hope it give the boys a bounce for while. Nearly 1/3 through the season and still in range for the division title. At what point is it no longer a fluke?
If we're not gonna give that dude that Joyce screwed over his perfect game we can't take away Santana's no hitter. Real talk
Why would you put an asterisk next to Yank championship for PEDs when everyone they were playing agaisnt was also takin PEDs? Its stupid. Really stupid. You know better than that. However, there is no denying that Beltran had a hit last night right? Right?
With one exception I had no care as to who got the first no-hitter. One Third Glavine when he was still Tom Glavine was the one guy I did not want to see get the first one. I expected it was going to happen. It was only a matter of when. It is only amazing it took this long. I saw Ron Darling flirt with no-hitters a couple times (pretty sure one time was in St. Louis on one of those 130°-on-the-field days) and Rick Reed too. I could be wrong but I think those might be the *only two Mets pitchers to take no-hitters into the 7th on multiple occasions, but my brain is not as filled with as much trivial baseball knowledge as it is with football. I may be misremembering like Andy pettitte's boy toy. Edit- *only two since the mid-1980s it was I meant. Obviously, Seaver had multiple no-hit bids into the 7th inning of games And jonnyd, you wrote you wanted an asterisk. Well, there is your asterisk.
The last clean Yankess title was in 1978. All Yankess titles before '47 (no negroes) get asterisks too. We will put an asterisk during the Kansas City A's days as well because the big-pocketed Yankess were using them as their personal major league farm team. What it really comes down to is that the Yankees have only won about 4 World Series. All the rest are bogus.
