Rob Johnson should be converted to middle relief when Josh Thole comes back.

Disappointing game - Batista out after 2 innings with a sore back, a good performance by Hefner wasted from lack of hitting, and a bad call in the 9th costing the Mets the tying run at second base with one out. Wright also didn't play because he was sick.

Nice that the Mets are doing this today. I have Alvarez on my fantasy team and had Niese a few days ago. This was the game I wanted the Mets to suck.

Ref pitching i see Meija and Young are moving through rehab well...Meija in particular would be a huge upgrade to bullpen

his stuff just isn't good enough...gets too high a pitch count and serves up a free ht too often....I know we are building but it would be nice to see some money spent on someone like Oswalt....would show some intent

Some substandard fielding by Kelly Johnson at second helps the Mets get 2 runs.

Davis is loking more pathetic with each at bat.

Gee has settled down nicely in this one hopefully he can take it to the 7th and prevent anymore bullpen moments but at 101 pitches thats a high count thru 6..Blue Jays showing Ike like discipline...
