Lots of nonsense tonight. Gee got bombed, Carrasco hits Braun after giving up a home run, and then Collins pulls Wright (over his vehement objections) so Wright won't get hit. The two teams don't meet again until September 14th, and when Wright gets hit then no doubt there will be people who say that that's the right thing to do. Amazing how these ridiculous "unwritten rules" just lead to more lunacy. It will also be announced tomorrow that next year's All-Star Game will be at Citi Field.
How about they teach guys to get the fuck out of the way when a ball is coming at them? Watch some old tapes of Mays, McCovey, F Robinson. They supposedly teach this awesome strike zone vision, move when a ball is coming at you!!!!
That's about it - Collins needs to accept just how bad his bullpen is, and manage accordingly. He just said in his press conference that he is deliberately not changing his use of the bullpen at all, and that is just idiotic.
How the hell did the mets even go Into the season with this bullpen? Was this really the best they could do?
Evening all....back from a week of making people redundant ( shit economy!!!)...looks like its been a typical week of Wright being amazing and the Pen being shit... Anyway the fact we are not the laughing stock that I and many thought is a great pat of the back for Collins etc...this team really does have some balls!! (no pun intended)
