at one point McCarver said that the Mets were doing great with their win last night and a winning streak. I guess the old geezer fell asleep last night before Francisco Francisco pissed away last night's "win" in the final inning anyhow METS WIN PUT IT IN THE BOOKS
John (Frank Fucko) Franco Francisco (F-Rod) Rodriguez Frank (Fucko) Francisco Sent to outside the strike zone from Frank Fucko's arm
Why the hell is Francisco closing for this team anyways? Was he really the best we could do this off-season?
I know its real early but Wright is making a case for nl MVP this season Sent from my VS840 4G using Tapatalk 2
I would say that he, Matt Kemp, and Carlos Beltran have easily been the best players in the NL so far this year, but after 1/5 of the season I'm not thinking about that at all.
Kemp yes but look for Carlos Bat on Shoulder to take his annual half season vacation with a bruise or a fractured eyelash before the All Star break Sent from my SGH-T679 using Tapatalk 2
Not the beltran argument again....I wish he was still here he is an undoubted class player and in 06 was a scapegoat for a complete meltdown. Wright should be the centre of this org til he retires build a 1-2-4-5 around him and serviceable pitching and we will be contenders...
Im done with any Beltran argument and thankfully the Mets are done with the lazy loafing malingering bum and are way better without him Sent from my SGH-T679 using Tapatalk 2
Thats the argument people trot out who forget it was Beltran who got us there with his play....he was a typical media scapegoat. Beltran reminds me of Abraham for the Jets ...we almost hounded him out and then continually search for his replacement years later I wish he was still playing for us instead of someone like Bay... But anyway another win today
Abraham was a loser who gave up on the team. He had all the talent in the world to be our franchise pass rusher and he gave up on us in the biggest game of his career. Screw 'em. As for Beltran, I respect what he did on the field, but that particular image will never leave my mind. For God's sake, it's Game 7 of the NLCS - SWING.
bases loaded, one out in the 4th or 5th I believe, and Valentin hits into a double play. that haunts me as much as Beltran being completely confused by a curveball like Pedro Cerrano.
Beltran was good for the Mets in his time...was he nicked up yes but look at his figures and he was a .280 hitter with 559 rbis...gg..all star in 2006 and .296 against STL...yes the strikeout was a symbol of the Mets that year but he was and is unfairly held up as the reason for our failure
Niese pitching lights out and Zambrano also pitching well....Mets holding steady....Calling bullpen......
