King Felix and Santana can relate. Remember when he won the CY when he only had 12 wins? This team despite it's issues is one of my favorite teams to watch since 06, no joke. Our young players are producing highlights and our defenetly under the radar to the rest of the league.
Our financial woes have actually made us a better team in short term..rather than signing mid range shit FA we have given our youth a shot...players like Duda/Davis/Tejada/Murphy/Captain Kirk would have been in buried in AAA Now these 4 plus Wright have upside, there are lots of issues still , our situational hitting is poor but I put that down to the youth. Get Lutz some more at bats in front of Hairston, with the likes of Muno / Valdespin / Havens lurking and 2013 will see Wheeler, Harvey , Niese , Dickey and probably Familia as a starting rotation. Suddenly add 1 or 2 top grade FA and we can really compete

Okay so a gorgeous evening at Minute Maid was ruined by Manny Acosta...it was a strange game as the Mets seemed to be sluggish at the plate until they fell behind. Norris was excellent but they let him hit a rythm and from then on he flew through his innings. We gave up too many quick outs an rarely workeD the count . Still whats better than watching baseball in 80 deg heat in a great ballpark....same the result was shit!
I was there last year in June and by then it was already too hot and humid for the roof to be open. It is definitely a nice ballpark. Did you have the barbeque? I thought it was pretty good, but as a New Yorker, what do I know.
Mets playing one of the worst teams in MLB and won't win the series. Won't go anywhere this season losing at least 2 of 3 from the Stros.
I think this is a dangerous time for this team - get swept by the Astros and I could see them lose 9 out of 10 and fall right into a black hole.
well another gorgeous evening was ruined by another impotent display.... Niese was leaving everything up in the zone and once it went to 5-0 it was start the car time.. Also last night showed that a middle order of Turner ,Hairston, Davis , Torres will never give enough run support agai highlighting our weak bench..i thought it was a strange decision to rest Murphy and play what was a very weak line up especially with Duda out. Anyway i am clearl a bad luck charm...I am going again today so bet the house on Houston
