Bases loaded, but Murphy's soft liner up the middle is caught by Fontenot.

Pagan with his second bobble of the game, although this one didn't matter.

Duda with a nice rip for a triple with 1 out. Need to get him home here.

Duda botches another play at first. Should have been an error but hometown scoring prevails to give Fontenot a hit.

It's as if the Mets are trying to see how many runners in scoring position they can strand in one game.

If they get shut out, this may be record-breaking.

Disappointing end to the road trip and first half of the season.

Injuries have ravished this infield. The fact that they can play at or around .500 with so many injuries is a good testament to their depth, but the Bison infield clearly suffers against top-flight pitching. Although this team does a good job working counts, staying in at bats, drawing walks, and not striking out too much. Almost promising, but this team isn't going anywhere until people start coming back from the DL.

Another commanding outing from Pelfrey ..and as for the at bats from Pagan and Beltran...christ Pagan might as well wave at the pitcher when its 3-2 and say throw it anywhere guys cos I am swinging !!

I won 9-1 and would have won 9-1 if I used Pelfrey so all's well. Pelfrey's ERA was good but his WHIP was shit.

Pelfrey would have been murdered by a strong hitting team last night , okay the infield play was bad but his location was abysmal.

Let him hit arbitration in off season and get a pick for this waste of space

2nd inning: runner on 2nd, no outs, no score
3rd inning: bases loaded, 2 outs, no score
4th inning: runner on 3rd, 1 out, followed by runners at corners, 2 outs, no score
5th inning: runner at 2nd, no outs, no score
6th inning: runner at 2nd, 2 outs, no score
7th inning: runner on 1st, 2 outs, no score

I've heard a rumor that the Mets have traded Krod to Milwaukee for 2 players... I got a text from a buddy who is a Brewers fan. No idea if he's full of it or who the players are.

Interesting. Pelfrey just stated that there was feeling around the team that someone was going to be traded soon. Wonder who we picked up

EDIT: just re-read Rich's posts, and if we did send some cash, then i sure as hell hope we got some good players in return.

Looks like the ball is in Parnell's court now.

2nd EDIT: Heyman just wrote on his twitter that it's for 2 PTBNL.

Done. JUst says for 2 players to be named later. Nothing about cash going to Milwaukee. Whatever. See ya, K-Rod.
Edit: Yes, cash is involved. 2 players to be named is not usually that much.

It appears it's two players to be named later but no idea who they are. Shit I don't have access to my fantasy team but I'd be picking up Parnell as a closer.

I would like to see us try out Parnell as closer, but I could also see us using Izzy there, or even Beato.

At least we got that contract off our hands. Now we can use that money to pay #7 this offseason.
