well with his control problems tonight i didnt want to load the bases, but it was either that or heilman. right move.
Now I've seen some shitty 9th inning performances but that was one of the worst but at least Willie has learned that Heilman sucks and you don't use your closer in the 9th with the game tied. It's baby steps but you have to fall down before you can walk.....
When Show threw the HBP, I actually gaped at the TV. Just horrendous...I smell an MRI coming up for him.
I love San Diego TV..... goes from replay of Show blowing the game to the Fake Jewelery Shopping Network. I think I'm going on Sunday I know I'd be going for sure if gas wasn't 4.15 a gallon here and even worse in Cali.
much uglier phrase for him, regression to the mean. he's been just as bad against righties as he was last year, and he's sporting a sub .100 babip against lefties. didn't even really matter today as he barely let anyone put it in play. but the guy sucks. if willie isn't going to trust heilman in any kind of important situations then he's got to pick either feliciano or smith and start using them for entire innings. burning both of them in the same inning depletes your pen real fast.
the siren song of .500 is too much for the mets to resist. this is why i hate this team so much. they have enough talent in wright, reyes, santana, beltran, maine to ensure they're not going to completely go in the toilet and to keep the current regime in power, but not enough talent to actually win consistently. the 8th inning is a perfect example of why willie will never be a good manager. the pitcher is a righty. you only have one lefty on your bench, so of course you send him up to PH. doesn't matter that the reliever has been murder on lefties. doesn't matter that the lefty you're sending up is the worst hitter on your team. you send up lefties against righties!
He's the victim of sucking. I'd say the bulk of his luck has gone towards keeping his ERA under 6 with those disgusting peripherals. He hasn't improved at all since he came up 3 years ago and should not be pitching at the ML level until he at least develops a servicable 2nd pitch.
while I agree that a majority of the time he has sucked, but it doesn't help that the team doesn't score at all when he pitches especially when he gets that fluke good pitched games, we can't afford to not convert on those games.
dude you can post in yankee threads...all the strap-ons who think the yankees are the greatest thing in the world, disappear every time they lose...its embarrassing
this series is like a pissing contest at who can put the worst lineup out on the field. the mets are winning right now.
Neat trick that the Padres are supposedly 1-9 in two World Series, since it only takes 4 games it win (or lose) one.
