    So yeah, Glavine went 5 and gave up 2 more runs. Not particularly unexpected, but the Mets offense needs to come through now. These are the Nationals!

    absolutely. last Mets game I went to, he repeatedly stabbed the team in the heart with all-around awful play.

    now he and green are hitting like gangbusters.

    Why does Cohen sound so amazed that the Mets are using a player who has never pitched in the majors for middle relief. Does it really matter, he can't do any worse than a the veteran pitcher who has 300 wins did before him. Let the rookie pitch, who cares.

    Green's season OPS has increased ~46 points since the beginning of the month.

    Alou's has gone up over 60 points.
