It's very aggravating when you realize that this would all be moot if the Mets had just won 2 of the 7 games they played against the Phillies this month.

agreed. i truly believe these teams just hate the mets, and take nothing better in beating them. that and the mets suck
The Nats may lose to the Phillies but it won't be because they "laid down" for them. The Nats have only been 3.5 games worse then the Mets since the AS break. Acta is a good manager and I don't see any reason why he would manage any differently against the Phillies then he did against the Mets. Also remember that the Mets are playing the Marlins after tonight, a team that out Mets'd the Mets last series.
