Too bad the three guys before him are 4-for-9, and yet both HRs were solo shots.

Sele has pitched well also, but it looks like for naught.

    I don't think it's over...two innings and 4 runs is doable.

Dissapointing start for Maine today, he looked completely lost out there in that 3rd inning. Worst start for him this season..

Just because it didn't happen doesn't mean it couldn't have...have some faith!

By that logic all predictions must be positive ones. I never said that the Mets couldn't come back, but they looked flat the entire game, and a thorough beating is what I predicted and what actually happened.

No, I agree that it wasn't likely, and that they sucked. I was just saying it wasn't over yet.

Braves win, Phils lose. Braves back in 2nd place, 4.5 out.

That was a little better, but still a tad concerned at the lack of consistent scoring. You're not going to get 6 in an inning every night and we need to get back to where we were ten days ago...

Yeah, that swing on a pitch 2 feet outside the strike zone by Alou is just what the Mets were missing.

What does take off mean? The team is in first place. I don't care if they win 111 games or 87 in the regular season. The only thing I care about is their place in the NL East standings and that the key players are healthy for the playoffs.

Braves and Phils both won in extra innings today, so the Mets need to win.

Funny how Morgan can't consider the possibility that the reason Milledge is batting 8th in the order is that his manager wrote out a lousy lineup.

Cubs' CF drops the ball trying to throw and Glavine drives in Milledge!
