Hey, it was 10 games, not a week - give the guy some credit! In his last 40 games Francoeur is hitting .165/.216/.241. To put that in perspective, Johan Santana's lifetime numbers are .173/.214/.249, so Francoeur probably should have batted ninth yesterday. Of course, in his last 10 games it's up to .242/.289/.364, so he's getting hot!

Hart GS, if anyone is surprised by this 1st inning outcome please raise your hand. Nieve is awful.

Only because of Jerry's mismanagement of him though.

Manuel should absolutely pinch hit for Nieve here. He's is gonna give up 3 more in the 2nd.

this team can never sustain a hot streak. Everytime they giveth they immediately taketh away. Take 5 out of 6 from yanks/phils and then probbaly get swept by the fucking shit ass brewers.

It's a strange thing with Frenchy, he's a Brave farmhand and yet people still seem to like him. He's be basically awful since he got here, yet people seem to like him. Apparently he dissed Daryl Strawberry, yet people seem to like him. I don't understand it.

Why did we pinch hit with Gary Matthews Jr?? Why is he still on the team?? Dont visit the baseball forum often (or at all)...apologies if this topic has been beat to shit already.

its been stated by the sny guys that the only reason why he's still on the team is because he's the only player who can backup Pagan as the CF...which leads me to my next point: WHERE IS CARLOS BELTRAN!?

He's been absolutely horrible this year, but he was definitely not awful for the Mets last year - he hit .311/.338/.498. And, of course, he's a fine outfielder.

Darryl Strawberry is way way down on my list of Mets "heroes," so any dissing of him done by Francoeur certainly didn't bother me in the slightest.

I'd rather see Tatis come in and force a move to a right-handed reliever than see that waste off space come in and look at 3 straight pitches. I'd rather see Manuel come in and pitch hit himself than see see the human strikeout machine (GMJr) come in and try to "hit." Another creation of PED's. Minaya, you're a fucking moron. It's says a lot when a team is willing to eat 24 million out of 26 million just to get him the fuck out of their dugout. The Angels must have been shocked they got a live body in that trade,

Not really sure why Tatis is batting 4th today, just stuck out with the bases loaded.

The report on Beltran has gone from early June to sometime in late July or August if at all...

BTW Corey Hart has made us his bitches this weekend. Glad to see I'll be in San Diego a week too late and miss the Mets. Should be making my 1st Citi Field trip in late June against the Twinkees.

Looks like Dickey has nothing. Yet another failure on the road underway?

What the hell is Darling talking about? We constantly hear that the thing a pitcher wants is a consistent strike zone, that's exactly what they're getting, and he's making such a big deal about how this is somehow the catcher's fault?

Now, the fact that he completely blew that foul popup certainly was the catcher's fault.

Dickey gets gets his first major league RBI, and then for the second inning in a row the Mets hit into an inning-ending line drive DP.

Francoeur 7-for-18 in his last 6 games - could our long national nightmare be coming to an end?

Tatis was 3-for-31 lifetime against Wolf going into this game, and Manuel bats him cleanup. It would be unbelievable, if it wasn't so predictable.
