if that throw hadn't hit the mound, Jones might've been out at the plate

Braves continue to have Maine's number.

i know it's kind of early still...and i'm only "watching" via internet....but appears we're on our way to another disappointing momentum killing loss......

bases loaded, 1 out versus Galvine and all we get is one? yikes

    old habits die hard

The Mets play in New York. I couldn't give two shits about the money that they spend on whoever. You pay the money you have to, to get a championship.

Yeah, it's clearly Willie's fault that Maine isn't at the top of his game and that the Mets can't hit Glavine.

Here is a fantastic quote from Willie regarding SNY...

Not sure what I said had to do with Maine or Glavine considering it was posted just as the game was starting. It is Willies fault that he committed career suicide with his comments regarding race and going after the fans. Not to mention that his team is full of underacheivers and he still hasn't figured out how to use his bullpen.

Willie railing about SNY has proven to me he cannot be the manager of this team much longer......he can't take the heat.....nor the responsibiity for the futility of the team.....let's face it, they're a .500 tean since last May.......piss poor

The 2 games against the Yanks were a pleasant distraction.....but something tells me we'll be discussing his job status again very soon

My fault, I didn't catch the time it was posted.

As far as the race issues, as I said in the other thread, they were taken way out of proportion.

This is just it. Instead of discussing the job status of the players at hand that suck, Delgado, Beltran, Heilman, the blame is tossed at the manager. Last I check, Willie doesn't get four at-bats a game, he doesn't pitch 7 innings a game, he stands in the dugout.

The players are under performing and Willie is taking the heat.

thats the unfortunate reality of the situation........but Willie has also single handedly contributed to several losses this year with ridiculous mangerial decisions which are only magnified when your team is playing poorly (having Beltran run on contact against the Nats? WTF?.....bringing in Heilman instead of Smith agains the Nats? ....and those are just in one week against the worst team in the division....and there have already been a handful of others this season and we're only in May........

I guess the onslaught against the Bankees said more about them than it did about us.

20 in a row by Glavine and Oh Man

it'll be interesting to see how long the mets can extend their hitless streak in the double header today. with a junkballing scrub pitching again in the 2nd game it's not looking too good. but honestly, looking at the matchups did anyone really expect the mets not to be completely shut down today?
