They should do it while the shame is still fresh in his mind. I've heard talk about moving him to the bullpen but that makes no sense to me. Under what situation could you actually bring this guy into a game? They'd just be handicapping themselves in the pen. Not to mention that this guy needs an actual pitching coach, not Dan "Hands Off" Warthen. I didn't like the Peterson firing last year and it's looking even worse now with the starters regressing. While we're on the subject of coaches I don't see any reason not to fire the entire Mets coaching staff. The players may ultimately be the problem but this crew of morons certainly isn't helping matters.
