Hey Dave I never knew you lived in Bayonne, I used to live off Broadway on 7th. I grew up down the shore, lived in Phoenix, and now Las Vegas but that was my favorite place to live. I jut really liked the people and loved the great Italian food and the Saint Patty's Day Parade.....
I have always liked the nickname thing ever since the K Korner or the Cone Heads back in the hey day. but to each his own.
I never sat in the bleachers @ shea. I had the chance once.my dad had 2 tickets with a group to sit in the bleachers for a doubleheadr against the cubs in 84.but there was a party for my grandfather and we couldn't go.luckily we didn't the mets got swept.
"believed to be 41" i guess they don't have alot of confidence in their younger starters or pelfrey for next year if they've got to give el duque 2 years at over 5m per.
What are with those mustard yellow banners? The only mustard yellow I want to see is on my shirt and pants after a game.
I think with SNY hitting the ground running, $5M for the extra year is now chump change to them to have an insurance policy in case people don't perform as well as expected.
I guess its not that bad when you consider its only marginally more then what they've been paying the likes of Zambrano/Trachsel the last couple years. I'd just rather not have a majority of the pitching staff on the wrong side of 40.
I love the design of the inside. the outside looks good too. the only thing about the stadium i dont like is the names of the levels.... Concourse Level - not great, i like Field Level better Club Level - only one thats ok Promenade Level - WTF is a Promenade??? just call it the upper deck.
If Glavine wants to come back, he's coming back - Omar and Willie have been completely insistent about this since the day the season ended. Personally, I have no problem with it.
I think you will by midseason when Glavine sucks. Sig bet? Smart GMs get rid of guys before they decline. You gotta figure Glavine is at the end of the line. I have no faith in Glavine for 2007.
