you have Easley play against lefties.

rf and 2nd will be a platoon position.

Except Easley is almost as bad as Valentin is against lefties. Whatever happened to Junior Spivey? That guy used to put up a 1.000 ish OPS against lefties and about .600 against righties.

Tom 'Golf' Glavine is 50 years old and El Duque is like 64 years old. The Mets really need oliver perez to be a stud or it might get ugly.

To make room on the 40-man roster for pitcher Chan Ho Park the Mets yesterday designated infielder Ruben Gotay for assignment. He was the 2nd baseman at Norfolk last year and was disappointed when they never gave him a look.

Not true. I think if Glavine and El Duque were not around, the Mets could potentially put out the best young rotation in baseball. Perez, Maine, Humber (his fastball is now topping out at 97mph and David Wright says he cannot even hit his curve when he knows it is coming in bp), Pelfrey (worked on and refined the changeup and curve this offseason), and Jason Vargas.

Well that is pretty exciting. It will be fun to see some of these young guns if they live up to their potential .Plus our bullpen should be lights out.

Maybe this is finally our year!

Wright needs to lay off the cheese a little. I love the kid, but he is trying too hard to be the golden boy. The Jeter comps are annoying.

David just let your play do the talking.

Jeter hasn't been hitting for as much power since he stopped doing weird sex acts with Mariah. It's all in her book. Some 'golden boy' jeter is.

The way Wright was looking at the plate at times in the 2nd half last year, let's hope his comments about Humber's curve don't say more about himself then the quality of the pitch.

If there are Met fans on this board worried about David Wright's dedication and his second half last season,,,,WE HAVE NOTHING TO REALLY WORRY ABOUT. Get real. That is HYPER nit-picking. Did you see the money the Mets were willing to pay for K-Dice. Like 35 million. If the Mets need pitching at the July deadline, they have the bucks. They can go out and get a Carlos Zambrano if things turn sour in Chicago, or God knows who else. And Martinez and Mota will be coming back in the second half of this season. This team is LOADED with talent and money. OMAR KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING.

Met fans, I have a question.

How are your young stud prospects doing? Guys like Sandy Alomar Jr., Ruben Sierra, Moises Alou, and especially Julio Franco. Heard they have real bright futures in the league.
