Damn, when did Kataklysm slow their shit down so much? I've got a couple of their old CDs but the hyperblast style really isn't my thing. I just picked-up In the Arms of Devistation and I'm F'n loving it. I'll have to go back and see what I've been missing.
^ Hmm, just out of curiousity, does the drummer use triggers at all? I was listening to a few of their tracks and I coulda sworn it sounded to me like his drums were triggered
Anyone catching Dethklok: Metalocalypse? It's absolutely brilliant, by all means check it out if you haven't - it's on Sundays at 11:45 pm on Cartoon Network. They're only 15 min episodes but they're great. Someone had all the episodes to date up on Youtube but they got deleted because they were copyrighted.
^ My friend keeps telling me about that show, and I keep missing it. Ill hafta make a more conscious effort to check it out, Ive heard good things about it As for Arch Enemy, I cant get into the whole female-frontman schtick. I just cant feel it :/ I liked Amott alot better in Carcass, anyways On another note, did anyone else hear that Cynic is reuniting? http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=59915
Found this somewhere else, but Jeff Walker of Carcass has an album Welcome To Carcass Cuntry by his group Jeff Walker und Die Fluffers. The album, from what I gather of it, is Jeff Walker covering a bunch of country songs, but supposedly its pretty entertaining nonetheless EDIT: heres the link http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=5869650
Black Sabbath - New Album/Tour in 2007; Iommi/Butler/Ward to Tour with Dio as Heaven & Hell in 2007 RONNIE JAMES DIO will be teaming up with the rest of his former band mates in BLACK SABBATH: TONY IOMMI, BILL WARD, and GEEZER BUTLER for a tour that will take place in 2007 under the title HEAVEN & HELL. The OZZY OSBOURNE camp has issued the following statement: "Tony Iommi and Ronnie Dio are working on a project together which has nothing to do with Black Sabbath. There is only one Black Sabbath. Ozzy, Tony, Geezer and Bill will be touring late next year along with a new Black Sabbath album. However, Ozzy wishes Tony and Ronnie much success in their project together."
Goddamnit, Wintersun's follow-up album Time isn't going to be released until August of 07 now. http://www.wintermadness.net/ @#$%&*(()%*(^*&
