Its not a bad album, its just that it has a completely different sound and feel to it than the older albums. It had been 11 years so I don't know if anyone was expecting Storm part 2, but if they were, I can see how Reinkaos would be a dissapointment.
Death metal is not the kind of music you're gonna love the first time you hear it. It takes listening to a few different bands, and the ability to "understand" the music. I know that sounds corny..but Death metal has a sound like no other music. The vocals often take the role of another instrument rather than a voice over. Try to seperate the music from the vocals as best you can...appreciating it initially just for the music...after awhile...you'll be able to enjoy the vocals as well. A few beginner bands Old Morbid Angel Dark Tranquility Cannibal corpse(The bleeding album)
Any Zyklon fans here? Just started listening to em, pretty decent band. They have a cover for Morbid Angel's Dominate, and they did a pretty damn good job on it too, IMO
I've been meaning to pick some of their stuff up. Everything I 've heard so far is pretty good, plus its got Samoth and Trym from Emperor. Speaking of which I've been meaning to pick-up Ihsahn's solo project as well.
I saw them a few years back w/ Morbid Angel. They had acouple good riffs but their stuff has never really done much for me.
It's Wildchild! Children of Bodom > All I'll give you a moment to let that sink in. Hell, take notes if you'd like.
Kalmah, Skyfire, Ensiferum, Wintersun, Insomnium, and just about any other Finnish metal band are all better than Children of Bodom anymore. I hope they bounce back but I'm not holding my breath. Alexi is a maniac on the guitar though.
That was absolutely brilliant! Necrobutcher: "We're fucking Mayhem, if you don't like it Fuck you! We don't fucking compromise were the best fucking metal band out there! Fuck you if you don't like it! Who the fuck said that? Fuck them! Fuck them all!" Blasphemer: "Can you repeat the question?" :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: Hahahahahahahahahahahahah
Oh yeah, and if anyone has any info about the new Deicide, Id appreciate it. Im considering picking it up, but Id like to hear some reviews first to see if its worth it
I haven't bought any Deicide since Serpents of the Light a while ago, havent really heard anything from them since either. I was just looking for a review of the new one and I noticed that neither of the Hoffmans are it, wonder if there was some falling-out or something.
I ended up buying it the next day. Meh. Whatever. I cant really get into it. I liked the Hoffman brothers more. Some of the solos on the album just seem a bit too "upbeat" for me. On the other hand, Benton's vocals seem to grow more and more sinister with each consecutive album they release. Oh yeah, and Scars of the Crucifix is an okay album as well
