complete package imo 6'2 222 Notes: Very solid and real impressive. Strengths: Has very good size with a solid frame and a vast wingspan...Excellent leaper with good body control and ball skills...Great natural athlete...Has big, strong hands...A long-strider who plays faster than he times...Is an excellent blocker...Physical and runs pretty well after the catch...Tough and is not afraid of contact...A force in the red zone who has made a lot of big plays during his career...A leader with solid intangibles...He has only touched the tip of the iceberg in terms of his potential. http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/wr/dwaynebowe.html senior bowl practice http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/features/seniorbowl/index.html
why sit an comiserate on kyle brady? the point is what THIS FO has done since they have been here....and what theyve done is solidified our OL to the point where it is much better than the past few seasons, drafted 2 playmakers, which arguably both can wear that 'game breaker' moniker.....a QB that the jury is out on because he didnt play, and oh btw eric smith, who seems to have a nose for the ball, and is solid on ST. i know im not hitting on 1 or 2 others that have made an impact at somepoint this season, but thats fine. i think the draft class for 06 was def one of the better ones in recent memory. sure the jury will be out on brick until he has AT LEAST 1 more year under his belt. it isnt like hes just a gunner on ST....the guy goes up against top tier talent on a weekly basis (a definite jump from the type of talent he lined up against at UVA)...i think he deserves just a little more slack than youre willing to provide. if he improves his run technique, he will be a force because he is sure to be better at pass protection than he was in 06, and i think even youll admit that his PP was pretty solid. this is the Man/Tan combos first full offseason, where it is their team. i think it would be wise to see how they play it, as opposed to acting like kotite is still patrolling the sidelines. im sure by the start of training camp there will be a surprise or 2, and we will see the team in better shape than it is as of today.
This is why I hate kiper. Draft expert my ass. Most people on this board can predict better than this geek. Our WR's are gonna be great for years to come. Drafting one in the 1st round is the last thing we need and maybe if kiper spent some time watching a Jets game instead of messing with his goofey ass hair he would see what what talkin about.
Kiper doesn't take his own mocks seriously until April. So why should we? He just wants a rise out of people for right now, usually.
i agree here, and with what you said about Rice, as i'd love to have him too. FA will dictate much of who we target in April. cheers
i wouldnt go THAT far....coles is older, and hes banged up for certain....while our WRs are solid, i would hardly say great. i think we need to add a WR, but not with any of the top 4 or even 5 picks. plus there is FA to look to upgrade. dwight needs to go. he is old, broken down, and not much in the way of an actual wide out. will smith take over JMacs spot in the slot? maybe....depends on if hes back for 07. it would have been nice if the jets had pursued gaffney. i loved him at UF, and always thought he was underrated as a pro (also an underachiever based on his actual talent). im not a big MK fan, but he knows his college players....maybe not where theyre getting taken, but he def knows their updise, and the benefits/shortcommings that they bring to the table. plus, hes got good hair...:rofl2:
For a 4th round pick, Washington's contribution this season was above average. Since when is it a bad thing to find a 4th rounder who can give you 900 scrimmage yards in part time duty as a rookie? Situational or not, we probably would not have made the playoffs without him this year.
ill agree on that. leon DEF brought more to the table than ANYBODY thought. even those here who were happy with the pick couldnt have forseen leon bringing that kind of game to the nfl in year 1.
