There's the whole difference right there, I stopped rooting for Chad when he went to Miami. And as I mentioned, I was a fan in the first place because of what he did for the Jets, which is a lot more than Favre did.

who's rooting for Favre?....WSW made a statement about the success he's having in Minnesota.....so fucking what.....get over yourself.

I'm eccstatic we have Sanchez.....but that doesn't mean i don't respect Favre as a QB....and I for one, am glad he played for us for a year.

Favre cost us the playoffs and shit in our bed. He used us for his own agenda. Even after he left he started shit. Nice to know you are glad.

You stopped rooting for Chad because he went to a division rival. I doubt you would have stopped rooting for him if had gone to the Vikings.

This is true but in any case I certainly wouldn't be making threads on a Jet board celebrating every good game he has while the Jets are getting beat. I mean that's BB's right to do so but it's also my right to answer it and state my opinion after getting home from the swamp and drying off. You guys don't have to like it, that's fine, doesn't change my opinion of Favre or his fanboys who post here.

Not a fan. At least when he went away he went away, and I'm pretty sure he didn't cost us a playoff spot. We missed it by a few games that year.

why the fuck to we still have our panties in a bunch over favre? yes the media is all over his nuts 24/7 but that doesn't mean people can't appreciate that he is a great player. anyone who tries to deny he is a great qb is just as bad as the media who won't stop talking about him.

I've always been a jets fan even during the Rich Kotite days, The Blair Thomas days etc. But I LOVED watching Jerry Rice play the game. I appreciate what Peyton Manning has done for the league. I LOVE watching Randy Moss run like a horse in 28th gear when others try to hardest and still can't catch up. I first and foremost love the game of football and after enjoying watching the game I picked a team I liked(with a little help from my uncle Phil lol) which is my pain in the ass favorite team of all sports the New York Jets (Knicks,Yankees).

To sit here and say I don't like player X because he doesn't play on my team is crazy. Fuck this shit Brett Favre is my ALL TIME FAVORITE PLAYER to watch. Yea he shit the bed at the end for us but more to a TORN BICEP IN HIS THROWING ARM than anything. No one was complaining about Favre when he beat the Pats in OT or helped us beat a undefeated 10-0 Titans team a game that noodle could never win. Or how about when he faced Kurt Warner Fitzgerald, Boldin and their elite offense and said "Fuck you bitches today is not your day" and tossed 6 TDs?

Last year was LAST year get over it.

    bump.

I was eating a bowl of cheerios this morning....and watching NFLTA. My usual morning routine before I head off to work.

Anyway....Brett Favre's presser from yesterday was on. He's telling the media that his confidence is at an all time high, he feels like he's 25 again and that his arm feels GREAT. He's only thrown 3 INTs this year.....

    WHAT.THE.FUCK!

Last year...it was...."Man, I feel like i'm 40...this could be my last year".....he was moping around.

I was discussing Favre's resurgence in Minny with WSW last night..I can't believe the season he's having...the Jets can't catch a break....I bet if we brought Peyton Manning in to play for the Jets...he'd probably play like Sage Rosenfels.

I wanted stab Favre in the face with a fork....after witnessing that presser this morning. Maybe it was Mangini/Schotty's fault...maybe it was Favre's laxadaisical approach to the season....or his unfamiliarity with Schotty's playbook. All I know is...if Minny makes it to the Super Bowl this season...I may need some therapy.

He didn't want to be here and he does want to be there, that's the difference. It's a hard enough game when you do want to be where you are.

Let's face it, you need therapy regardless. We're going on week 12. This is where he's supposed to start shitting the bed, right?

You may want to start lining up some options for that therapy... The Vikes are looking great with Favre behind center. I knew this cat wasn't done... but fuck me still... I chuckle.. and I hate it... either event - the Jets can't catch a damn break!

    hahaha...therapy is too expensive...beer isn't.

He hasn't shown any signs of slowing down (minus the groin injury during their bye week).....3 fuckin' INTs....for the year. Are you kidding me?! This is guy is 40!! *Mike Gundy*

It was after this week that he destroyed our season last year.

that saddens me to no end, if that's the case.

I guess I'm biased when i say this...because I'm a Jets fan......but i would consider it to be the highest privelege to be able to play for the New York Jets....in any capacity.

Schotty and Mangini didn't help. Throwing the ball 75 times against a shitty run D on the road in a blizzard when your QB has an injured bicep in his throwing arm seems to ring a bell. He did start sucking vs. Denver week 12 though.
