Take your personal attacks to PMs. Stick to the thread, I don't want to ban someone tonight, but the gay namecalling has to stop.

its a sheer matter of earned respect. I earned my respect after one full year of posting coherent and profound posts every now and then, offering my opinion and insight on the NYJ progress during the season, what offseason moves could be done to improve the team, and my insight on the draft. Now, I am nowhere near those who have been here longer, who's posts are regarded with more insight- look towards those who you are arguing with as examples.

I don't see you doing the same. You make outlandish comments and when people utterly disagree, you make it personal with middle school namecalling.

Thats the difference. Every now and then anther fellow Jet fan on TGG will quote my post and say "Good post, Mick" or "I agree with this post" or something of that ilk- letting me know that they agree with me on the subject. Its a nice pick me up during the day, to know that my brethren have the same thought that I do.

Yeah you're talkin out of your ass. You tell people who think we're drafting McFadden that they are wrong... like you have some kind of inside scoop. But you don't. You're saying the Jets won't draft him becuase you don't like him. That's called talking out of your ass.

And yes I said you may be right. The attention the Jets are showing DMC may be smokescreen. It could also be anti-smokescreen. Or anti-smokescreen-smokescreen. Fact of the matter is noone knows what is going to happen for sure so telling people they are flat out wrong for believing Darren will be our pick is silly.

Adrian Peterson looked MUCH MUCH better than McFadden in his first game as a rookie. Anyone catch that NASTY hit made on McFadden when he cut it up the middle last night? Keep running straight up and see what happens there speedy.

I know the jury is still out on Goulston, but after seeing this kid in action last night I am relieved that we left the big splash draft pick to the usual suspects (Oakland) lol.

Pterson also had a much better offensive line to run behind

Comparing any rookie running back to Peterson is a joke. The guy is a once in a decade type talent.

I knew it then and I know it now, McFadden will NOT be another A. Peterson.

Taking a runningback high in the first round is way too risky and rarely turns a team around. I have some doubts about Gholston but I'd take him over McFadden every time.

What are you guys talking about? McFadden only got the rock like 9 times last night and he averaged over 5 yards/carry. The only reason he didn't have a lot of yards was because the Raiders were playing from behind the whole game.

From what I've seen of Mcfadden in the Pre-Season he looks like he's going to be a solid, solid back if not a superstar. If the Jets had DMC fall to them and still picked Gholston I would have been screaming.

Good to see that you have eyes...Dude. McFadden is stupid fast. There are alot of '"fools & haters" who post on this board & there comments show who they are & they can't discern there azzes from there elbows. So....We post & those who know about football understand, & the others...there still waiting for the invention of the lite-bulb. :shit:

Mcfadden is going to be very good. Over 5 yards a rush throughout the preseason and into game 1..

Watching Peterson run he is just on another level then EVERYONE in the league. Tomlinson has done it year after year and with westbrook is the most complete back, but when you give AP the ball it's just wow

Anyone who says McFadden didnt look good last night is a damn fool. I hate the Raiders and Jeaux as much as anybody, but dont let that blind you from noticing maybe the one of the only talents on the Raiders. He looked decent (at worst), and showed good speed and ability to take a hit and drive. He will be a good back likely. Not superstar, but a good back.

You do realize one of the big knocks on him was that he runs so tall and leaves himself open to big hits, which will lead to durability issues. Just look at what happened last night; that's exactly what happened. He's got talent, but he needs coaching that will drill proper form into him, or else he may have a really short career.

I'm not saying I wouldn't have taken him because he's got a shitload of potential, but that flaw in particular was very evident last night.
