Evans hits it 410 feet and it's just a long out.

Pelfrey has hardly any experience... With some real minor league work, who knows how he could have been.

Yet another horrible defensive play by Reyes.

i love how the announcers excuse the bad call with "you have to slide there"

A crappy minor league pitcher with no secondary pitches instead of a godawful major leaguer with no secondary pitches.

Never thought this guy would be good. I saw it the first time I saw him pitch in Binghamton.

I wanted this guy traded in the 2006 offseason.

The Marlins announcers said the same thing.

This is ridiculous. This team was built to contend for a title. In theory, we have the best pitcher in baseball, three of the best hitters, and one of the best closers, with a reasonable if not overwhelming supporting cast. Keeping in mind that some blame lies on underachieving players, I'm beginning to subscribe to the school of thought that most of the blame lies on Willie. Even though I don't see what Jerry Manuel or anyone else can do, perhaps it's time to cut the cord.

In a calendar year we have been 3 games below .500, that is 3 games short of a complete season, it is time the mets brass gets their head out of their ass if they think this is just a passing phase.
