First and second round draft picks that bust are flat-out killers. Ghost, Hill, Vlad and to a lesser degree Wilson, have forced the Jets to redirect assets to fill holes they thought they'd filled. Obviously, the draft is a crap-shoot, so nobody is ever going to have a perfect record with their picks. It remains to be seen long-term how Idzy's picks will pan out, but I certainly hope that he stays away from any 'projects' in the first 3 rounds.

I'm not saying that Wilson is a complete bust in the way those other 3 are, but I'm sure that Rex is not getting the return he expected at this point when they drafted Wilson. The fact that our CB situation is the way it is does have to do with his play. Ideally, he would've stepped up by now and been a solid corner on the outside and that could've helped ease the loss of Revis and Cro. By now he certainly should be a veteran leader in the secondary and that could allow Dee to cover other team's #2 WR's. Not that Idzik is absolved from blame for the current CB situation, but Wilson's play has certainly contributed to the situation the team is currently in with regards to CB.

As a product of Thomas, Welker, and Thomas getting the attention? yeah.

Decker is a quitter, I watched him quit in the Super Bowl. Left his teammates out to dry, complete loser.

Was he even at the game? Was he even in the state of New Jersey?

caught 13 TDs in 2012 when Welker wasn't there. again, w/ Tebow and orton he caught 8 TDs(and it was only him and Demaryius).

    next excuse.

And clearly the Broncos didn't find Decker that important, I dont recall them even offering him a contract, dont blame them at all though for making zero attempt to retain him.

8 TDs with Tim Tebow as your QB probably says a little something about how good he is in the red zone. Or was that because Tebow was taking the attention away from him?

Also, you realize everything you're saying about why Decker isn't good you're forgetting to apply to Sanders... right?

And this would probably mean you'd have to say Thomas is only good because Welker, Julius Thomas and Decker were taking attention away from him considering Decker outplayed him when just the two of them were together.

you can't re-sign everyone, they prioritized the D. they still had a ton of weapons on O and didn't want to spend big on a WR.

What's that saying again? Another man's trash is another man's treasure?

You guys are arguing with a guy that wanted Hakeem Nicks (Injury prone, awful practice habits, conditioning issues) over Decker. Decker has been a professional since he's been here - he's a good RZ target for us and we aren't paying him a ton of cash like we did with Holmes.

Yeah Hakeem Nicks, a true #1, a person who doesnt quit, and a player who become the lifeblood of an offense that went all to the Super Bowl crown. Decker was a 4th option, a quitter, and never was gameplanned against. Teams for seasons have gone into games trying to stop Nicks, and many of them failed.

And we overpaid Decker to, shoulda let him sit there because no other team wanted him. None, not even the Broncos.

You are 100% trolling. There's no convincing me otherwise. No one being serious would say the bolded part of your post.

LOL Hakeem Nicks doesn't quit - he sure did quit last season. Nicks isn't as good as he once was. Really used to like the guy considering I enjoy watching UNC sports but he's got awful habits at this stage of his career.

Hakeem in his hayday you could argue was more talented absolutely but he's a shell of his former self.

Explain how Nicks quit last year? He didnt quit whatsoever. The Giants O line was horrible, and Eli was awful. Nicks did what he could on a bad team.

When has Nicks quit? Point me to it right now.

Decker was missing from the Super Bowl.....pathetic.

Yep, even if Wilson was a 3rd rounder like he probably should have been, late 2nd at most, he should not be a question mark in the secondary, especially as a veteran. Now, heading into a season where his presence is more crucial than ever, he is just as big of a question mark as the other guys trying to fill that spot.

Hahah - God how many Giant games did I watch last yr, when Nicks would quit on his route? Or him strolling back to the huddle? He had a rough time gaining separation last season as well.
