Juilo is right up there when healthy. However, I'd like to see how he recovers from his foot injury , before I put him in that elite class. In my opinion Rody White is tier below those elite receiver, but I think he recently signed an extension, I may be wrong though. But I'm hoping we can get an expolisve shifty receiver as well; it'd be perfect for MM's system. Lets just hope he can actually catch a football this time, because we all, I believe, have terrible memories of that last second round WR, who was taken

At 36 mil with 15 million guaranteed, I don't think tightwad Idzik did not do a thorough study of Becker as a long term investment for Jets despite having a shitty set of advisors. FTR Idzik's FA signings (not draft)have been very good eg CJ Vick Babin etc. and carefully thought out. Forget what you and I think....Idzik NEEDS a guy like Decker to have his plan for Geno to work. Geno just isn't constructed to be anything but a short ydg.to medium rage passer and the entire offense is constructed to his benefit. If WR was that necessary for the Jets then the Jets would have spent more money all round.
Their acquisitions have nothing to do with Geno's throwing range, and you thinking he's short to intermediate is about the stinkiest turd I have read in a while. It has everything to do with them building the foundation for an efficient WCO - excellent route runners with great sense for timing and very good hands in traffic. The pickup of CJ enhances that concept, and the 3 young TEs we have will be a crutch for the OC to lean on until next season when they attempt to find a couple of deep options. Yeah Geno can only throw short to medium distant passes. It's not like he was 7th in terms of completion percentage of 20+ yards.
and its not like Eric Decker didn't haul in 19 catches beyond 20 yards either. Man this team is just SO bound for begin a short range dink and dunk offense, theres NOBODY to support the deep passing game!

If you are one of the people that whine about Idzik not overpaying for DRC or not making a stupid impulse move by resigning Revis, there is no way you can complain about the Decker signing. DRC is FAR more overpaid than Decker (who I don't think is overpaid at all really). You can't say that we should have just tossed money around to fill the hole at CB with someone that isn't all that good then turn around and bitch about filling the WR hole with someone that IS good for less money.
