It's silly to think you can put a win total up for a QB that isn't in your team or system... What if Sanchez went to Tampa and won 12 games...

Yeah, exactly what I said AT THE ####'N Draft!!!!!!!!!

But, Rex wanted the guy with the "it" factor or something - Physical tools be damned

Most of the TOP QB's in history weren't physical specimens....

Speaking of incredible physical specimens, I just took an enormous crap that had a faster 40 time than Josh Freeman.

If Favre was here, we would have gone 25-0 including a few games against Giselle....

Freeman played awesome last year. i disagree with the soft schedule part being the biggest factor. the way he enginereed those game winning drives was a thing of beauty.

however this year he has regressed. maybe it's because more teams have film on him or whatever but he's not playing with that same efficiency

All 3 of them look pretty sad on the third year Peyton Manning scale.

That's the point really, every QB that starts early in his career is being measured on an impossible scale, since QB's like Peyton Manning come along very rarely, only twice really in Marino and Manning.

I'd be happy having any of them starting for the Jets at this point but I wouldn't take either Freeman or Stafford over Sanchez if given the chance. Freeman hasn't played in big games yet so we have no idea how he will handle that if it occurs. Stafford is injury-prone. I'll stay with the guy we have.

It's not fair to compare young QBs to marino and manning BUT one thing mark has that peyton took a long time to acquire is the ability to not get rattled in big games- Peyton still has that problem to an extent though nothing like when he was young.

I agree. Another thing that Sanchez has that Manning lacks is mobility. Not to say he is better than Manning, just they are different types of QBs. Sanchez is far from Manning and Marino, two HOF QBs.

    ... this ...

    ... i'm liking what i've seen from all 3 ...

    1 stafford, 2 sanchez, 3 freeman

... stafford still has to make it through a season ... and both the others still need to be tested in the playoffs to see if their n*ts shrink or not ...

... sanchez has proven he can perform under the nyc glare day in / day out ... as well as perform at his best when it matters most ...

... again, like what i've seen out of all 3 ...

Yeah freemans looking really bad, again time will tell. I just cant believe people jumped on the banwagon and put him in the top 10 QB list. Completely ridicolous,

nobody can be a top 10 qb in a year, or 2. unless he is a mvp consideration.

btw 624 good bump, i hate when people take credit for what you do.

the talent/performance around Sanchez has dropped compared to his first 2 years, and now he is playing better than he ever has.

maybe we should trade all our best players on offense, and build a jesus defense (sarcasm lolzzzzzz!11 rolfc0pt3rs)

I disagree completely, our OL isn't as good but he has a ton of weapons and I feel mark is not nearly as good throuhg 3 games this year as he was during the 2010 season. His #s are much btter but he hasn't played as well.

Peyton has gotten better over the years but he still makes too many dumb mistakes(see SB XLIV) and early in his career he was terrible in postseason. It took Peyton until his 6th season to win a postseason game and it wasn't like he was losing to eventual SB champs(the only eventual AFC champ he lost to was Ten in '99 at home). His first 3 playoff games he threw 1 TD and 2 INts, led his Os to 33 pts in 3 games(plus an overtime). he was easily rattled and he still gags or he'd have more than 1 title by now.

Have you seen Mark get rattled in postseason?

its hard to make plays when you are running for your life, and yet he is still making plays while fearing his life every snap.

plus he cannot rely on a running game either. he is pulling shit out his ass.

He has a 63% completion percentage, no running game/offensive line support, and shitty defensive play these first 3 weeks. With those excuses in the shitter I'm interested to see what people will come up with to describe how 'Sanchez sucks'.

He's made some bad decisions and he seems to be taking the safe dumpoff to get the comp % up. I don't balme him, it's been drilled into him. I still think he will be much better the rest of this year but through 2 games he hasn't been as good as last year.

I'm not saying he sucks, I'm saying he was much better than people gave him credit for last year and he's not as good as his #s show this year. he hasn't played as well so far this year as he did last year. #s are nice but this isn't about #s, last year he was making huge plays to win games, so far this year his #s overall are MUCH better but he's not making those huge impact plays.

I never made reference to you or anyone specifically dissing Sanchez. It was more of a general statement in regard to the Sanchez haters that exist around the NFL and its fanbases. Last year when Jet fans or Sanchez supporters tried to defend him people would always rebut with:

    - 54% completion percentage; therefore, he sucks
    - Anyone can win with good running game and great pass protection; therefore, he sucks
    - His defense bails him out; therefore, he sucks
    - He has great WR and he still can't put up numbers; therefore, he sucks (I guess this one's debatable)
    - The Jets win despite of him, not because of him; therefore, he sucks

With all the above missing so far this year I'm waiting for the next excuse people will have for Sanchez sucking. If I had to guess it'll be TD/INT ratio and use of the new stupid QBR that ESPN rolled out
