Who has ever said they would prefer the Jets to win without Sanchez (excluding an argument that financial commitments to Sanchez in the LR are more damaging to the franchise than losses this season)?

The problem with the Sanchez haters is you have unrealistic expectations. Nobody is ever good enough to play Qb here.

Flacco with his inconsistency if he played for NY would be the worst QB in the league. Stafford with his injuries and horrible play at times again would suck. The way Cam is playing this year would be a bust.

Freeman he would be in the situation as Sanchez.

Give the kid a fair chance don't call for his head after every bad game. He has had the odds stacked against this season with injuries, no running game rookie wideouts and no option out of the backfield. Lets not forget a new system. Rivers is in his ninth season and threw four pics yesterday and was average last year as well.

The jets at the point in the season they played the 49ers where not going to beat them or the Steelers. As the defense and offense start to gel this team has potential.

Mark has played some stinkers this year but he came through in the clutch at Miami looked like Brady against the Bills looked like a rookie against the Niners.

The only game we lost because of Mark was the Houston game he missed throws that would have won the game for the Jets but with that said he played average against Houston needed to come up big and he didn't he usually does.

The Jets are 3-3 with two blow out wins they have potential they are young and will get better. We are not 0-6 Heck, Sanchez has never had a losing record with the Jets give the kid a break. Calling for his head after every game is just unproductive.

If the the Jets where 0-6 sure fire away but calling for his head when we are in the thick of things is stupid. It is not being a homer Sanchez is the QB for the Jets that are 3-3 and tied a top the AFC East.

If the Jets end up with a losing record and Sanchez sucks it up the rest of the way in I will be the first person calling for his head. To hope we lose so we have a high draft pick when we are winning the division is just being a bad fan not to mention the ignorance.

Sanchez is not Manning or Brady guess what there are not a lot of Manning's and Brady's in the history of the NFL.

Criticize Sanchez for his horrible play but at least wait until we really do suck before calling for his head. Trying to make a case that he played poorly last weekend not sure you really are a Jets fan.

Is it really unrealistic to expect your QB to complete over 55% of his passes?

What's sad is that 55% would put him at 30th in the league.

No, what's sad is, 55% is an improvement. LOL

Bottom line, Mark has to play better every week or he'll continue to be ridiculed.

No one says the team as a whole suck. We are saying Sanchez sucks and the numbers back it up.

Yeah, he's got solid credentials of choking. His playoff record is 3-4. That team always finds a way to lose. They were up 24-0. No excuse for that. I'm pretty sure the only year mark threw more picks than TDs was rookie year and he's on pace to have more TDs than picks this year. Sanchez had more total TDs than Rivers last year, although throwing TDs Rivers had ONE MORE than Sanchez. Big whoop. All I'm saying is that people literally crucify Sanchez on this site after every bad game, while Rivers gets a pass after a worse performance than Mark has had since rookie year. People will call me a homer because I think Sanchez is better than his stats indicate. I'm not saying he's an all pro or anything, but he's good and at least a top 15 QB. He could tap the top 10 if he keeps it up, but it's not like he's playing with all pro receivers and running backs.

No. 60%+ should be his target goal this year, which would be an improvement, and should happen. He was at 56% last season. I think it'll happen despite the rough start. People just get some kind of sick twisted pleasure over hating on the guy. It ain't like our offense is a power house.

    Yup Sanchez > Rivers.

Yet everyone on the board would take the Marty Schottenheimer of QBs...over the guy that gets you THERE.

Give Sanchez gates, Jackson, Turner....instead of JAGS, and Schotty Jr.

I think by wek 14 With Keller,Hill,Kerley, and Holmes out....and an OC that calls pass plays that don't require an overnight stay in the pocket....this thread will die.

I think calling you a homer is putting it nicely. Your crush on this guy is almost disturbing....

So calling him a top 15 QB is a homer man crush statement? That's the thing with you negative people. You can't even remotely hint at Mark being decent without being called a homer, even when top 15 = average. Nobody's calling mark a world beater. He's just not nearly as bad as you darksider jackasses proclaim. The worst part is that it seems to make you guys happy when he has bad games, as if your ego is more important than the team. THAT is disturbing.

IMO Mark is not as good or bad a some think. He is an average middle of the pack QB. I would like to see the team try to upgrade the position. I would like better than average QB running my team.

Calling Mark a top 15 QB will not get you consideration to be called a homer.....it would make you delusional.

Should this thread be called, "Brainlessly bash NYJ QB, Mark Sanchez?"

Since every team in the NFL carries 3 QB's that still makes him better then 2/3 of all NFL QB's in the league including 2/3 of the QB's on the NY Jets. Until you can give me a reason to put someone in who isn't as good as Mark to start, I'm not going to be called a homer for wanting the 30th rated QB starting.

I see your logic here. Since he isn't a top QB now, there is no way he will ever be.

Yeah top 15 is too high for his play right now. Top 20 I might give you. I would say he is at the 22-27 of starting QBs right now. Not the absolute bottom, but still below average.

First time since week 1 that we had keller and hill on the field together and the offense was just as good.. Just that in week 1 we took care of weak pass d and last week took advantage of bad run d

For sure. There are at least 26 starting quarterbacks, 14 backups, and 5 guys without jobs who'd have the Jets undefeated with all of the talent Sanchez has had to work with.
