First of all, what are you basing that on? Because you say so?

Second, I must have misunderstood. I thought the idea was that Sanchez was losing the locker room.

The optics of the Jets situation right now suggest that Rex is on the verge of losing the locker room for the most simple of reasons: players who expect to win and aren't are usually unhappy.

One of the problems the Jets have right now is that they have a roster full of aging veterans and young JAGs. That's a bad mix.

Are you really that blind due? Do you think Rex or Mark have ANY command of this team? Do you think anyone on the Jet offense or defense respect Mark Sanchez dude? hahahah. I mean, are you COMPLETELY delusional?

This is real life. The players arent fans. They dont wear green glasses like some of u guys. Its not a big love fest in teh lockerroom. Wwhen a guy sucks, he sucks. Every body knows Sanchez sucks. Everyone knows hes a deer in headlights once he gets hit once. Hes not a leader.

Mark Sanchez has zero command or respect in that lockerroom. And yes, simply because I say so should be good enough for you if youre that blind.

Neither of us has any view into the locker room. You think you know something. You don't unless you're in that locker room.

The fact that I'm not buying your bullshit doesn't make me delusional or mean that I'm wearing green goggles. Just because I question your statements doesn't mean I think the Jets are good.

You are very good at jumping to conclusions. I know you're wrong about me. You may be right about Sanchez not having any command or respect, but it's nothing more than another wild conclusion you've jumped to.

If you are right, and I'm not saying you aren't, I'm just questioning your reasoning - what is the result? Do guys quit playing? Do they dog it on the field? Do they yell at Sanchez/Rex on the sideline? Do they start Tebowing whenever Sanchez does something that sucks?

You're so sure you're right - tell me what to look for to see it from your point of view. Give me something concrete here.

    I can help with that!

Mark Sanchez is the worst QB in the league and players don't like when losers hold them back. It's human nature.

    THAS MY QUARTABACK

I'm giving Sanchez up to the bye before I truly give up on him. In all honesty, he's had a rough stretch of games this first half of the season. Steelers, Dolphins (who have a sick front 7 right now), 49ers, and Texans are going to beat most teams in the NFL who are coming off some pretty bad injuries. He's lost his 2 favorite targets. The team as a whole has not been utilizing any of the draft picks we had gotten from rounds 1-7 this year. The pass protection has been just below average at best. The running game is non-existent.

Credit Mark for being able to make the clutch throws that need to be made.

    THIS....

As a Tebow fan, i have to completely agree with, at least Sanchez is not quitting, the Texans game showed least a sign of life. I think that we need to evaluate Sanchez with most of his weapons around him, like Keller and Hill. I actually think Sanchez will have a great game this week. He is a fighter, unlike Orton.

I agree. Did you see Sanchez going for a tackle in the Houston game? He hasn't given up and I like that in a player.

Are we seriously supposed to applaud a player making $11.75 million this season for trying to tackle a guy that just intercepted his pass?

Jesus, the bar is getting pretty low around here. "How can you be mad at Sanchez? Look at him! The guy has never once showed up to a game drunk!"

Hahahahaha! At least he tried to tackle the Guy instead of pouting!

p.s. Do you think he'd play better with double vision?

Er did you have ever hear of the adage that to be the best you have to beat the best which shoots down your "tough" schedule that MS may have played up to now

Sanchez appears to be that West Coast attitude, that just can't handle the New Yok stage. At best he is an average QB, with a small upside. Just when you think he has progressed, he reverts to really dumb mistakes. He still holds the ball wrong when moving in the pocket, throws a great pass, followed by six terrible ones, and still looks like the deer in the headlights.

I truly believe that the Jets should move him out next year. It is my understanding that his contract is set up so he can be moved. Tanny needs to go most definitely. If Rex entertains any thought of staying, he must not be opposed to pulling Sanchez when he is playing like crap. I would still like to see Sanchez at QB, with Tebow at RB. Why not?

Fair point, but you cannot expect the quarterback to beat the hard teams by himself. Football is a game where 46 guys are matching up against 46 guys. It is also a game of strategy that requires good coaching.

The fact of the matter is, we have seen what a young Sanchez can do when he's got a great team around him. He can take us deep into the playoffs and he does not fold under pressure.. This is something that you don't see in many quarterbacks.

While getting deep into the playoffs is nice, the book is still out there on whether you truly do need an elite quarterback these days to win a superbowl. That is a discussion for another thread though.

If you take a more veteraned Sanchez and put him in the 2009/2010 playoff teams, do you think they would have made it to the big game?

Great/elite quarterbacks can make that difference. Average/good QB's usually can't. No one is ever going to argue that Sanchez is great or elite. We just hope he can be average/good at this point.

At least he isn't worse than Matt Cassel. Be thankful for that.
