It'll be interesting to see what Mariota does against a good team. Arizona is playing like crap. Only thing I'm seeing out of Mariota is his decision making ability on option plays. I'd love to see him go against a great secondary where decisions of who to throw to are tougher.

 

Or an athletic front that shuts down their read option game and forces him to throw

 

I'm actually sold now on Super Mario-ta.

 

He's played some good defenses this year already. Michigan State, UCLA, Stanford.

 

Do those teams actually have good defenses or do they just do well against inferior offenses?

Michigan State could stop Oregon from running or throwing on them. Ohio state did the same thing to them.

UCLA is middle of the pack as far as FBS teams are concerned. They let Memphis pass for 305 yards and rush for 164. Utah rushed for 242 yards against them (4.4 yards per rush).

I'm not convinced those defenses could stand up to any good offenses.

 

All you assholes that were hating on Mariota early in this game can go fuck yourselves, especially that Irish cunt thats probably still mad his team lost to Northwestern ...when he's throwing bomb after bomb to Evans and V Jackson we'll all wish we traded up for him. Go Ducks baby!

 

Arizona was only playing this game because they beat Oregon this season. They also squeaked out a 26-23 win against C-USA powerhouse UTSA (4-8) this year. Their ranking was a joke.

What about Michigan State and Stanford? Both are top 10 in total defense. Those 2 teams absolutely have good defenses. Plenty of pro prospects as well. Mariota performed well against those 2 defenses you have to give him credit there for performing

 

Ok so where do we stand now. Is Mariota good or not? Are we supposed to root to lose the rest of the games? Are we back on the Winston bandwagon?
Is there some place where I can get up to date status on all this?

 

IMO, Mariota should still be our target.
