I would take Mario over an one in the draft except bush ( but he wont be there). With all of that said I wouldnt be upset if we got Brick.
DE is a need right now, but I don't believe that a great DE can be as valuable as a franchise QB. If Leinart is available, he has GOT to be the pick. Between Young and Williams I'd say it's a toss up... If we've learned anything throughout the last 10 years or so of drafts is that early OTs are as far from sure things as any other position. I DO NOT want Ferguson at #4..
Out of the 3 potential "Franchise" QB's I like Young the best but I do harbor serious doubts that any of the 3 will be true "Franchise" QB's. In this draft my gut feeling is Mario Williams is the most sure fire winner in this draft. I would be very happy to get him.
i would rather have mario than d'brick in a second he can be a big playmaker... i joined the bandwagon with the mario avator to !
yeah i did it on adobe and itr was my first time to ahh to get his jersey that color you use the color replacement tool and to get the jets logo on his jersey use the lasso tool on another picture and then copy it to the picture you are working on
While the Hype on this kid seems to be growing to super-hero status, in the words of Mr. Harvey Kitel: "Well, let's not start sucking each other's dicks just yet." His last 3 games where he amassed those 6 sacks were vs -Middle Tennessee State (1 sack) -Maryland (4 Sacks) -USF (1 Sacks) If we picked Him, I'd like it but we really need to slow down on the Hall of Justice Induction.
so if no player is a sure-shot, then why not pick they guy that is going to give you the most potential "boom"? meaning, in Brick we have a chance to get a great pass-blocker and - currently - decent run-blocker.....or he could bust. in Mario, we have a chance to get an explosive DE who can very well play in mutiple schemes/fronts.....or he could bust. personally, i'd rather have Mario because his potential will pay off more. you can always find good blockers throughout the draft. (furthermore, we already have a potential starting LT in Jones). but you can't always find guys with the freakish athleticsm - size, strength, speed - that Mario has. cheers
Don't get me wrong, I love the draft, I watch it every year both days, from the first pick to last. There is nothing wrong with being excited and interested. But some people are ready to put Mario into the HOF, right after they father his children. Enthusiam with perspective makes for a great discussion, enthusiasm with no perspective equals restraining order.
If Mario is such an explosive and revolutionizing DE, why only a month ago, people had him going 5th or 6th? It was only after the combine and senior bowl that people starting jumping on the bandwagon. Brick was projected in the top 4 for the past 2 years. People put way too much stock into the combine IMO. I have watched many of Brick's college games, and he is MUCH better than many Williams supporters give him credit for. And I don't think Jones can compare at all to Brick. But like I said, just my take, and I would be happy with Williams or Brick.
Thanks for the insight dabby. I'm not sold on D'Brick simply because of his freakish look and footwork but if you've seen him and think he is the goods it eases my mind that much more  or Maybe your just saying that so you won't have to chane your sig! hmy:
Mario will be a Bust, Write it down ... He takes plays off, doesn't play as fast as his stats, has had off the field problems and has trouble shedding blocks. I wouldn't take him in Round 1 Period.
Mario Williams I also think he's a little on the smallish side for the NFL http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/ncaa/men/players/39919/
