Even more likely...Hobbes says "Write it down..." followed by some ridiculous proclamation like he did last year when Sparano was hired. You can't run from your history bro

I thought it was likely Geno would sit for a while when he was drafted but more and more it looks like he is gonna end up starting week 1

The only way Sanchez starts is if everyone else is injured. At this point, all Geno needs to do is show a pulse and he will start.

Franchise QBs can mask a lot of holes. The Colts had a horrible roster in place. The only quality players on the team were Wayne, Mathis and Freeney. Mathis and Freeney played out of position and were aging (and Freeney is no longer on the team). In one offseason, they added some quality talent in the draft, coaching and Andrew Luck, and thats all it took. Now they certainly still have some ways to go to be a true contender, all it takes is to make the playoffs as we know.

The Redskins were pretty bad themselves. They only had a handful of quality players on their team (Orakpo, Kerrigan, Trent Williams, Fred Davis- 2 of which suffered season ending injuries). In the offseason they made the huge trade for RG3, struck gold in Alfred Morris, signed Garcon and just like that they turned around.

Now Im not saying I think thats what is going to happen. If Geno does work out though, we could be looking at a relatively quick turnaround. We have some very good players in Cro, Wilkerson, Mangold, Brick and some top talent from the draft in Coples, Milliner,Hill, Davis and Richardson. If they can produce early on and Geno works out, we could compete in as early as 2014. We will have a ton of cap room and will be able to sign some offensive talent and potentially be back on the map.

No. Hes a troll. When you engage other posters for the sake of raising ire, rather than presenting a countervailing argument...thats trolling.

Hes been called on it by several other posters.

In fact rhe post youre defending contained no argument at all, just personal attack...but since you feel thats acceptable...

no he simply stated that you are full of shit. you have done it in the past and very well will probably do it again. he is doing the rest of the board a service and clueing them into the behaviour that you have taken part in in the past. at least in my humble opinion.

honestly this conversation we are having shouldnt be occuring in a thread. so lets keep it to pms from here forward if we need to address eachother directly.

2009 Jets were not a turn around, they posted the same record they posted in 2008, 9-7 both years. The difference being 9-7 one year was good enough to make the playoffs and the other year it wasn't. When you post the same record as the year before it's not a turnaround.

Agreed. Sanchez had 4 years to prove himself and he's only gotten worse. It's time to move on.

Amen! el taco is like neil o'donnell.

put him on a superior team, and he can go along for the ride.

he can't make a team better, like a manning, brady, brees, or luck can.

start mcelroy or even simms if geno isn't ready.

start el taco, and there will be plenty of space in the stands and parking lots at cortland and metlife.

psl and ticket sales will go through the floor, and doug's restaurant in cortland will not generate enough fan business to pay for his season tickets.

Odd...Brady was so good, he couldnt unseat Bledsoe, til Mo Lewis did it for him.

Brees? He was so great at the same Point in his career as Sanchez, the Chargers drafted Eli Manning, to get Philip Rivers.

Luck? Really? How much talent did they put around luck?

And..as far as Manning goes, how long did it take to achieve playoff success, despite numerous first round talent on offense.

Historically Peyton Manning is like Marty Schottenhiemer, he wows you during the regular season, but..,then he is one and done. Though Manning EVENTUALLY won a superbowl. Not in year 5.

    Try comparing Apples to Apples

Let's play your game for one more round then:

"Yeah, let's take your example as the norm, and let's keep a piss poor QB and hope he gets better in his FIFTH year... remind me again how that usually works out?"
