I think Gabbert for Tebow makes a lot of sense for both sides. Gabbert is the better QB prospect and would give the Broncos someone they can groom under Manning to be the long-term starter, ala Rodgers and Favre, while the Jags will get Tebow and all the marketing/attendance ability that will come with him, possibly helping save the franchise from having to move from Jacksonville.

    That's the spirit, Don.

55 yds or so is a shirt field? what would 24 & 29 yards be?

I don't think Alex is a great QB but he wasn't the reason they lost, they lost b/c of STs and trhe week before he was the reason they beat NO in a shootout.

The Jets had to completely meltdown to lose to Miami by 2, so I think he makes a good point.

Yeah. I mean anything can happen in a division game but that's a pretty sourpuss attitude to be carrying around in March.

One of the reasons I wanted no part of him(one of the many) was that he would be too expensive. I was told "he made his money, he just wants to win". Peyton has never given a discount and never will, being highest paid has always been more important than winning.

What do you mean more important than winning? I feel like every QB asks for a huge salary and gets it, especially in the league. The only details I know about his last salary is that he gave his team the opt out after one year just in case he got injured. That is pretty clause to include if all he wanted was money.

I don't blame any player asking for money. It is their job and they want to get rewarded for it. I don't think any player would have turned down 5 years, 95 million.

It makes sense actually. Remember that Manning in essence was the Colts Offensive Coordinator. He is used to that kind of control; Harbaugh is an offensive minded coach, and John Fox a defensive minded coach. So Fox is probably more inclined to let Manning run the offense then Harbaugh would be.

I'm shocked that he didn't pick the Niners! That's almost guaranteed championship. Oh well, at least we don't play Denver this year.

Brady always took less so his team could spend in other areas, Peyton always got max dollars(he earned it but sometimes for the good of the team you have to sacrifice) limiting how they could build around him. he had a chance to go to a team like SF(also in a weak division) w/ a top D, a great receiving TE, a really good back and he chose Den b/c they offered more money.

It's his right to go for the money but once it was assumed he'd be let go by Indy all I heard was how he would take less b/c he wants to win. That's been proven false again- if these #s are real.

They had already discussed the parameters of a deal the first day he was there..that's what the money will be, how much is guaranteed we will see.
