But you cant play a man who isnt ready to be put on the field...im optimistic that thats the reason Clemens is still collecting splinters and manning the clipboard....

    otherwise, great point Babycakes:drunk:

If that is the case, Marques Tuiasosopo would have started the Week 2 game.

rephrase, you cant start a young QB who isnt ready to play when the starting QB is healthy...Tui isnt exactly stating quality, at least not as close as Clemens IMO

Well, the thing about Tuiasosucko is that at 0-1 the Jets season was not in shambles. I have never thought highly of the guy (I enjoyed it when the hated Raiders took him as early as they did in the draft), but he does have experience playing in regular season NFL games.
If Clemens was not ready to play in meaningful games, then I believe Tuiasosopo would be the #2 QB and would have started in Week 2.

I am surprised at Mangini. he said Chad made "some nice plays". Some nice plays!! All QBs do that. The reason Chad should be sitting is that he has made some horrible plays. And, he has made his worst plays in the third and fourth quarters of games. Mangini is treating Jets fans like idiots with these lame explanations. He should be ashamed of himself. I thought he was loosening up a bit as last year wore on. But now he reminds me even more of Beli-turd.

Yeah, if we're going to have a QB who throws picks that are back breakers, I would rather them be part of the learning curve rather than the digression curve.

Pennington Int's hurt in those games, but you cant directly blame him for any loss as pathetic as this defense has played.

HA! Chad hasn't played a healthy game since he dove throwing-elbow-first against the Bills in 2004. And trust me, I waited a long time before I was able to admit that.

The major issue is the defense. Granted, Chad has been bad, but we've been behind in the fourth in 6 of our games this season. The Defense needs to step up and give him a lead to work with. We're not a good team when we're in a position to throw the ball in the 4th...

I don't think Chad can get one score in 4 minutes.

He might be able to give up 2 INTs and scores for opponents on jumped out routes in 4 minutes.
