Of course but the embarasment and how the papers handled it would be classic.

I wish him well. I know alot of people soured on him, but I thought he was more a victim of circumstance and him trying to imitate bellichick too much. I think he'll mature into a good HC one day.

Mangini is going to bring a stoic nature to naturally aggressive, fast paced team like the Browns.

He did make incredible progress with Revis, Rhodes, and Lowery, as he was a DB coach for the Pats. But any other coaching aspect in terms of the offense, or defensive line, and linebackers, will result in epic failure.

The Browns should hire Pioli and we could have a NFL Fawlty Towers

So did I miss something, or did the Browns hire a HC before a GM?

    Big Mistake

Yeah, I always kind of laughed at those moronic posts. To be fair, they were mostly made by moron Pats fans. Who thought the league felt that they were treated unfairly instead of just laughing at them for being caught cheating.

Is anyone else concerned how fast he got a job? Do others view him better than we did? I live in Ohio and have friends that are Browns fans and they are quite pleased.

That's where the word 'mostly' comes in.

Yep, they are the Browns after all. Only the Jets could top that one. They have an entire staff hired before they get a coach.

In fairness I think a lot of teams do this and let the new coach decide who they want, I don't think its that unusual. Most of the staff is as good as gone.

I'm predicting some tension from K2 once he receives his gag order from Mangini. Should be fun to watch.

What about how he may handle the QB situation? That should be entertaining as well.

Congrats to Mangini. While watching him coach is like a roller coaster ride, he will get better with more years under his belt.
